I just got this from my e-mail to let us know about "Don't Pump gas on May 15th" and pass it around.....

==========================================================

NO GAS...On May 15th 2007

Don't pump gas on May 15th

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide
in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station
in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most
places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network,
and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.
if all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companys
pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on
May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day. If you agree (which I cant see why you wouldnt) resend this to all your contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"

Where did you get that infos? I got a similar infos LAST YEAR

can't promise if I dont refuel my car depend on my commute to work, I'd just try my best but I ain't gonna think of NOT refueling my car on that day

Well, today's the 15th. Did anything happen?

Well I can't help because What if my truck has to empty so Have to fill up.

:):):)

All my three vehicles have their tanks almost full. Filled most of them last weekend, so no big deal.

didn't fill it.. and i know its a hoax.. there's always next day or a day before. it won't even hurt them. the oil companies are laughing about this.

Me neither, I didn't fill it, but I got feelings that this won't help.

I haven't fill my car since last week.

Well, I assume that Republicans' fault for ignoring the advice.

Maybe, the government won't permit the reporters to tell you on the news that already affected the gas companies. The gov't has the control over the media news, and perhaps the gas prices.

someone saying the fact if don't pump for whole day, the gas industry would lose much as $6 billion dollars. That goes to lot staffs who produce and brought it for us to get gas.

All I know that the industries do not give a shit about us, and they buy it. They have plenty of money and whatever they want to charge more money for gas. Dick and George are making so much money on their investments.

I love the idea for us to join a car pool or bus. Suppose that they are very popular then the prices will increase. For biodieseal if popular, then the price will skyrocket. I am not saying to negative things, but in the reality.

How can we improve it? Is it worth for us to go on a bus? Some say that a terrorist would plant a bomb in it. I hate to think about that. What am I supposed to say about it?

They don't really lose that much money, they just make extra on other days.

Let's suppose an average of 100,000 people get an average of 10 gallons of gas from various gas stations within a specific area per day. If 30,000 people decided to boycott gas on May 15th, they would either get gas in advance or wait an extra day for getting gas. That's about 15,000 people getting gas the day before and 15,000 people getting gas the day after.

Gas = $3 per gallon
10 gallons = $30
100,000 people = $3,000,000
May 14th to 16th = $9,000,000

May 14th: 100,000 people + 15,000 people = 115,000 people; $3,450,000

May 15th: 100,000 people - 30,000 people = 70,000 people; $2,100,000

May 16th: 100,000 people + 15,000 people = 115,000 people; $3,450,000

Total: $3,450,000 + $2,100,000 + $3,450,000 = $9,000,000

Are the oil and gas companies worried? I think not.

I think soon or later the oil price is going to stall or drop. Know why? The Hydrogen fuel cell suv have made the 300 miles maiden Voyage right here in New York State, and they haven't used a drop of oil. There is ZERO emission, actually just water! I see their success right now, and within 2 years they may start production. It is BETTER than Hybrid and once they kick in production, oil companies will not be too happy.

Does that hydrogen powered suv use engine oil to lurbicate the engine?

Maybe very little, say around couple ounce, that is it. I really don't know exact, but understand how it works, it is really more of electricity car, you just feed in hydrogen into batteries and they cook itself to produce electrity then vaporized them into H20 and you keep feed in more Hydrogen.

You need 2 parts of Hydrogen to mix one part of Oxygen to make batteries exciting, then they vaporized into what? H20, hence WATER! To get Hydrogen you need to extract Hydrogen out of water. I don't know how they do it, but they claimed it is easy process.
