Virginia: Emission inspection required
every 1 or 2 years

How about yours ?
 
State of Massachusetts requires emission inspection every year when You get a new inspection sticker.
 
None, never. Cars in SC are NOT inspected.
 
yep- I'm in virginia too and they require an emission inspection. it sucks, because I work from 9 to 5 and a lot of places are only open from 9 to 5 on weekdays.
 
NC has them. It not required in every county but rather it depends on the county where you live. Basically, that means those counties that have the bigger cities in it or nearby.
 
Minnesota Law used to be requires Emission check every year. Till few years ago... they changed the law that we dont need to check emission.. I think that they should stick with the law.. because I noticed smog is getting wrose than before..

they made dumb choice..
 
Yea, people in California requires emission inspection every years except for hybrid, motorcycle, electric, natural gas, diesel and any vehicles are 1975 or older.
 
I noticed, Michigan dont require Emission Inspection since I lived there for 21 years since and they didn't give me the mail or anything to go there to checking on it up...

And, Washington State do require Emission Inspection, of course.

Because, they want the air, water and everything to be clean and don't want to get smog from Emission Inspection. Better to get less smog..

Yea, I think so... Smog in LA is still bad but not worse as in 60's and 70's but Houston seems going be #1 or not sure.
 
Here in ontario canada we have to have emission test done up for 30 buks. I have a feeling that my van will have to have the test done up soon. any vehicles 20 years and older are exempt.

I'm not sure which is WORSE in US with Smog... But I saw Detroit, it was very HORRIBLE with SMOG, wow... Becuase of the factory for the cars, etc different kind of factory plus car's emission...
 
The smog tests are required every 2 years in Seattle metro area. If you're living outside in the country, the smog tests are not required. That's their law in Washington state, though in 2008 or 2009 (I forget what year) they will adopt California's emissions law which means stricter than what we have now. We might have to pay a few thousand preminum over the regular price on California style emissions.

But Floridans Voted republicans for a reason so we dont have liberal evoinmentalist bullshit unlike califiornia puts up with.
