Do you think Tourist Cities are expensive?

My husband and I paid about 3,000 over on Honeymoon at Florida. We paid a nice hotel, food, theme parks, and shopping. And plus gas.

I went to Disney world. I only pay 280 dollars that it.

My husband and his best friend grew up in Florida. Florida State is a tourist. If live in small town. It will be cheap. I guess. We went to St. Augustine for museum. We suppose go to climb top the lighthouse. But it's weather advisory. It was bad thunderstorm. :( We didn't make it at History museum. Orlando, Miami and Key West are expensive!

In Florida I am sure that St. Augustine is the most expensive.

Yeah it's expensive. It depend when you got a discount. My husband is a military. We got a discount on tickets. We are lucky!

What about Orlando and Disney world? Are they not more expensive?

Many go to vacation or have a holiday in Florida. However, I will always consider Florida to be a "snowbird state" as it has the largest senior citizen population in the United States of America (Pennsylvania is second with no snowbirds).

A lot of senior citizens live in Pennsylvania because the state is first in people not dying more than 30 miles away from where they were born.

Pennsylvania sings.

Same with the Grand Canyon state......

Traveling in the off season can help to reduce costs. And you will no doubt enjoy your visit more, as well.

That I agree...lately, I seem to be having a hard time enjoying myself in extremely crowded places. I dont have the patience for it anymore.

About a month ago, I went to Kings Domian for Deaf Awareness Day..it was sooo crowded and extremely hot. I didnt enjoy myself but in the afternoon, a severe t-storm hit the area with large sized hail, 30 plus mph winds, and flashback. We stayed at the park under a cabana we rented for the day. The storm lasted for 30 mins and then it was clear and cool afterwards. The park reopened the rides so we ventured out. OOOH it was practically empty and we had a great time for the rest of the day! :giggle:

I recommend people to travel in the off season as some places offer off-season rates & specials. When it is low season for us, we offer " pay for 2 nights, get the third night free." Many people take advantage of that! Especially the storm watchers, book readers, and the romantics. :)

Also you would get to connect better with the people as they would have more time to spend with you to make sure that everything is going well.

I would not enjoy visiting Alaska in December no matter how much money saved. :P

With the de-valued American dollar, it's expensive for Americans everywhere.

Being resident in Orlando, Tampa or central FL aren't expensive as you thought, even it's cheaper than in Chicago and other some largest US cities, Miami and Key West are so expensive but Miami does have some cheap alternative.

I went to Orlando in last month, it wasn't bad, just gas price is expensive but cheaper than Chicago, around 30-50 cents less.
