If you worked at one of the targeted businesses, would you feel safe about going to work? Or would you be afraid, and want to stay home?

Yes, if they take extra precaution like checking everybody's ID, purses, briefcases etc..I work for Dept of Defense (Government) so they do check our ID badges and our vehicles every morning, has since 9/11/2001. I rather be inconvenienced than be sorry. I wouldnt be afraid of going to work if they take extra precautions and all.

we are already well aware of the risks and i imagine most of us are already feeling secure enuf at our work places that has high risk due to the higher security personnel and etc post 9/11

If they gotta increase security, fine. That's life. :)

Do I feel safe?

Not from the terrorists!

The Bushit Administration has been crying "W O L F" one time too many since 9/11!

Time to kick in Aesop and let him take care of the boy and the wolf...

http://www.storyarts.org/library/aesops/stories/boy.html

There once was a shepherd boy who was bored as he sat on the hillside watching the village sheep. To amuse himself he took a great breath and sang out, "Wolf! Wolf! The Wolf is chasing the sheep!"

The villagers came running up the hill to help the boy drive the wolf away. But when they arrived at the top of the hill, they found no wolf. The boy laughed at the sight of their angry faces.

"Don't cry 'wolf', shepherd boy," said the villagers, "when there's no wolf!" They went grumbling back down the hill.

Later, the boy sang out again, "Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is chasing the sheep!" To his naughty delight, he watched the villagers run up the hill to help him drive the wolf away.

When the villagers saw no wolf they sternly said, "Save your frightened song for when there is really something wrong! Don't cry 'wolf' when there is NO wolf!"

But the boy just grinned and watched them go grumbling down the hill once more.

Later, he saw a REAL wolf prowling about his flock. Alarmed, he leaped to his feet and sang out as loudly as he could, "Wolf! Wolf!"

But the villagers thought he was trying to fool them again, and so they didn't come.

At sunset, everyone wondered why the shepherd boy hadn't returned to the village with their sheep. They went up the hill to find the boy. They found him weeping.

"There really was a wolf here! The flock has scattered! I cried out, "Wolf!" Why didn't you come?"

An old man tried to comfort the boy as they walked back to the village.

"We'll help you look for the lost sheep in the morning," he said, putting his arm around the youth, "Nobody believes a liar...even when he is telling the truth!"

It's unnerved me in many ways. Yes, it could feel secure having those extra security, many a time -- such a threat has gotten through the secured premises here and there. It CAN happen and we can never really predict where and what will happen, etc. You know?

Now the Athens Olympian premises in Greece all are highly secured with miltitary and police authorities -- doing body checks on everyone before entering any premises, that also includes the athletics competing in the Games.
Some have said it was great seeing all the security surrounding the Games and feeling safe, but there were others that had doubts.

Just wish that the world was a peaceful one -- rather the way it is nowadays. :( Life's too short to be battling one another, one country to another, etc. *sigh*

...and if one of the buildings was blown up, and no one was warned, then everyone would blame President Bush. They would say, "When did he know about the plans to blow up the bank, why didn't he warn us?!"
Which way do you prefer? Warning or no warning?

Lol, they have been "warning" since day one and nothing happened.
I refuse to live in fear just because i am told to.
It is far more dangerous to drive a car than to work in one of the federal buildings.
Phooey.

We're never safe. No, I'm not talking about terrorists. I'm talking about everything! Nothing is 100% safe. You can't child proof a house 100%. You can't secure your house from burgulars 100%. Nothing is 100%. It's all part of life. If terrorists came to RIT and bombed all the buildings, oh well... it happens. :dunno:

They are doin' it for an intimidation reason. Fear is their aim against America.
