Difficult Times

She is in Blue Spring, MO for night..... will leave for STL tomorrow (sunday) hope not let snow follows her to STL! lol

Just left Blue Springs, MO ~ still snowy, but roads are clear. We should be home in about 4 to 5 hours, depending on weather conditions. I'm going straight to my parents' home with Daddy-O, so I can use their old Toyota station wagon. I'll be using for a while until I find out what the insurance company plans to do ~ we all know that my poor old Toy isn't repairable and driveable ~ will post pictures sometime tomorrow.

Meanwhile, we are passing Odessa, MO, and every mile these wheels turns, brings me closer to my beloved MizzDeaf and her waiting arms and all our five cats...

My dear AllDeaf friends -

I am sorry if I have not seemed like I was in the true Xmas spirit as I was last year -

As you know, my grandfather died last May and I have had a little hard time getting over that.

Now it is Christmas time, where we should be rejoicing over our blessings, our fellowships, families and the goodwill of our friends -

I have been a bit of a Scrooge lately.

My grandmother, who is the wife of my late grandfather (yes, the one who passed away in May), is now facing her Maker.

She has been ill with pneumonia twice in the space of three months, and her body is just not strong enough to recover - she is already tired and worn-out. We also know that she misses Grandpa, too, who is waiting to bring her back home.

She has been non-responsive for the last week, on a morphine drip with just enough fluids to circulate the morphine through her body - she is in a semi-comostate state at this time, and we have made the difficult decision to let her go. She is on a DNR order, established at the time Grandpa was diagnoised with Alzheimiers only four short years ago.

My parents and Aunt Judy (Mom's sister) are in Kansas with her now - so that she will be surrounded by her daughters.

We are praying for a quick, painless and peaceful end.

She has and still is a wonderful woman, who has surivived hardships and seen so much, and I know I will miss her very much.

When the end comes, I will have MizzDeaf, Cheri and TweetyBird post my messages on this forum as I will be winging my way to Kansas as soon as I can. I will be out of touch almost right after I pass Wakeeney, Kansas on the way to Hill City.

Pray for her.

Thanks.

Oh, DD, I'm sorry to hear it. I will keep her in my thoughts. :( *hugs*

It's worse than it looks - the frame is bent badly and to repair it would cost more than what the car was worth before the accident. As it was, it was valued at $3,305 so you can get an idea how bad the damage is now.

yea i remmy that.. u sent me last week.. ouch... i hope everything will be fix ur car very soon..

Wow that lots of money $3,305 yikes! that remind me that my sister who is 25 yrs old that she got an accident car and her car in front of hood was really damages.. it is my sister's fault cause she speed too fast herself while she was with my niece. my sister is not aunt of my niece.. blah werid of my family lol but she was with my niece and got an accident. she got sore neck cant move at all but now she is fine now. which it was last summer.

My sister was driving in Niagara Falls, Ontario to look around with my niece but she was speed the car and got smash other car.. other car is fine no damages just normal and my sister's car already damages. She took to the garage to check it up how much to repair around bit over $3,000 to fix which she cant afford for it so my mom's boyfriend fix for her which she hate to see colour red and green yucks that she had whole red but on hood green .. she is fussy lol .. she got other new car but now still cant afford cause her brake is something wrong so cant use her car so she use my mom's car or my mom's boyfriend's car.

My oldest adopted sister was pissed off at my sister for being speed car and accident cause her daughter is my niece was with my sister...

That's ok, I know families have quirky members...I'm one of them!!!

Oh well... all I can do is wait and see what happens.

I just saw those pictures now, DD. Awwww!!! I'm sooo glad that you weren't hurt worse! What would I do without you, DD? :tears: I'm so glad that you're alive. hugging u ever so gently.

Hmm, your car looks like a Toyota Corolla to me. I see that your car is badly damaged. If the frame is also damaged, then it is not good as I learned from my experiences.

The estimate of repairing the car is costly, but it is worth fixing it? This car may be not the same after getting repaired (i meant fuctionality wise).

I had a minor car accident two weeks after I got a 2005 Honda Civic. Back bumper and back light were damaged and it cost nearly $2,000 (I don't remember the exact amount of cost) to repair. I did ask the mechanic whether if the frame of my Honda is damaged or not, he said no. Whew. The jeep slammed my car badly because stupid woman did not pay attention... I took pictures of my car for evidence and sent them both to mechanic, and two insurance agents.

It is a Toyota Corolla - and a good car it was, even with the problems it had. Yes, there is severe structural/body/engine damage and cannot be repaired. And no, it is not worth trying to fix it, even if it could be repaired.

Geee... Totally Collertal Damage... cost lot of money reapir... but isn't worth..

Least I'm glad you're OKAY.. ain't worry about car.. Important you're human begins is prior than car which car can repair but human is very diffculties...

As far My heart goes out for human begins important prior and making sure 110% okay!
