This isn't BPD. The mother knew full well what she did and it wasn't due to poor self esteem or strained relationships.

Saying that is like saying it's okay for me to do the same to my child because I'm bipolar. :roll:

Hi, hehehe yes you read my signature right for the JOKE only on AD. In that of the girls charmed tv show, of course, they weren't talking about the size of man wee wee. They were talking about something else than the size of man's wee wee. :giggle: I love charmed to death. :D

I dunno, but some mothers I'll say high percentage who tried or has killed their own children would mostly gone through postpartum depression, in this case she definitely has mental illness. Women are supposed to be natural loving mothers, but not all of them are. I hate it when mothers do tries to kill their own children. I know half of those women/mothers who are sitting in prison or are on death row are there for killing their husbands or children.

I don't know what kind of mental illness this mother has (although I tend to agree with Jillio about MBPS), but she definitely has some emotional issues.
 
people with postpartum depression usually do not kill their babies.. they may feel like neglecting them now and then (or all the time) . It is when they start hearing voices due to postpartum depression that make them kill their babies.

If they kill their babies without hearing voices, then they are just plain murderer. Although I have heard that Postpartum depression make mothers get angry easily at their babies and tend to shake them (shaking kill babies) or something. But that's act of rage and not planned like feeding them feces. Other than that it is Munchausen's by Proxy
 
Many women suffer from postpartum depression following the birth of a child.

In fact, this is when a majority of mental illnesses are diagnosed such as unipolar depression and bipolar.

A friend of mine was diagnosed as bipolar shortly after she had her first child.

However, that didn't cause her to harm him in any way. She loves her son dearly and would never dream of hurting him.

If I do say so myself, she's a better mother than most women I know who do not have mental illness.
