Deer Meat

I know what deer vension is. I am a deer hunter myself and grew up with guns and hunting. I did not need to answer that one.

Ok, Heath, fair enough but please tell me why you said on more than one occasion that you like deer this and deer that but don't like venison? I'm just trying to understand why you make such convoluted statements like that. It's no biggie but I'm curious.....

My family likes to make deer sausage. I don't like that. I prefer deer steak or deer jerky.

I love Deer Meat! I LOVE ANY OF MEAT! But I bet some of meat that I dont try since, but I would admit to try them!

I thank my daddy for hunting deer and I want to take class to getting my hunting license so I can hunt for deers and any wild animals

I know what vension is ... I just don't like the taste of vension. I like deer jerky or deer steak better. Yes it is better to gut the animal the moment the deer goes down also, after many hours of walking and hunting. It is nice to get your hands warm for a good change.

You are right, venison is another word for deer meat..my husband is a deer hunter. whenever he gets one, we take it to the butcher, we usually get some deer burgers, steaks, summer sausages. really good and is low in fat and good flavor too.
Heath dont seem to understand that venison is just another word for deer meat, geez. Tell him to look it up in the dictionary, crikey.

It's all about population control, that's why we kill them for food. Deer population explodes and there's not enough food for them and we keep them under control. Wild animals kill them, we kill them, and keep them in stable population numbers.

Not quite true. It's what we need is to control our people population. How many people are living in our country? And to compare our animals?

Oh man, Deer meats - They are to DIE for! I've been eating deer meats ever since all my life. That's because both sides of my family do hunt and they make deer meats. It is so delicious! My dad makes the best homemade deer jerkies and oh god, Now I'm wishing I had some right now! haha. It's funny because my dad's not the world's best cooker but he can seriously make a mean deer jerky. I haven't had a deer meat for so long and this is bringing up the memories for me. It's like my taste buds are telling me that they're dying for the deer meats!

I know where you're coming from.

From time to time, a deer (buck, mainly) will have a very nice set of antlers or unusual ones, and the hunter will have it mounted (stuffed).

I don't watch any outdoor television programs that are hunting related, because they are not "hunting" in the truest form and sense of the word. There are farms where deer are raised and, for a fee, people go there to "hunt" for a deer, which they will get any way, no matter if they shoot it or otherwise. The big name "hunters" you see in them...I don't and won't even waste my time watching, not even at sporting goods stores or around other stores that carry hunting supplies. Those people, as well as those who are fishing, are not true to the sport of either hunting or fishing and are game cheaters. In the game of poker, a cheater gets shot, too bad a game cheater doesn't.

Heath doesn't like the venison as it is outside the deer (raw, then cooked). He prefers it as jerky (ah...do I have to explain this?). He has answered...even I can understand what he said. This is like saying...I like leaf spinich, but not cooked (this is true, I don't like it cooked). As a matter of fact, I won't even touch it if it's cooked. I don't like eating raw tomatoes (alone), but will if mixed (sometimes) in a salad or otherwise.
