Combs to Pay $21,000 a Month Child Support

NEW YORK (April 8) - Hip-hop star Sean "P. Diddy" Combs has been ordered to pay more than $21,000 a month in child support to an ex-girlfriend with whom he has an 11-year-old son.

The order, issued Thursday by the New York Supreme Court's Appellate Division, came after Combs appealed a Westchester Family Court ruling last year that he should pay $35,000 a month. He currently pays about $5,000.

The ex-girlfriend, Misa Hylton-Brim, had sued for higher monthly payments and about $398,000 in back support for their son, Justin.

The appellate court judge awarded a lower but undisclosed amount in back support and ordered Combs to pay Hylton-Brim's legal fees. The judge set monthly support payments at $21,782.

Rob Shuter, a spokesman for Combs, said Combs would appeal the decision to the state Court of Appeals.

While separated from girlfriend Kim Porter, Combs, 35, was also sued for child support for their son, Christian. He pays Porter, a model, about $30,000 a month. AOL news:http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/music/article.adp?id=20050408143509990002

Especially, when you consider he's also paying about the same amount or more for another child he fathered. :eek:
 
Hmmm, I dunno if it is exorbitant. What if he is making millions a year and this is like pocket change in perspective?

I recall a lot of gasping some time back when Donald Trump was ordered to pay huge alimony payments, but it was laughable, he made more in interest per month than the payments.
Well, something like that.
 
Dennis Rodman pay 95k on child support .

Shawn Kemp whose played in Seattle Supersonics pay 15k to each mother of his kids. he had ten kids .

Friendly advice to men:
1. Use precatious when you're single.
2. Be loyal and love your wife in eternity marriage

If you do that, you will not have to hang to Child Support . You won't run away from their system !!
 
I know a few guys who go around knocking women up and then paying child support. Some of them don't even care because their parents are rich and they get extra money. One of these days, that parental support is gonna end... and those poor guys are gonna be broke! ;)
 
OUCH! and I thought my estimated child support payment at 400 was that expensive!

21,000 a month...Thank goodness I aint a millionaire, but to 'em it's pocket change.

It's a shame he's got all that money and she has to take him to court over back support. He ought to want to take care of his child.
 
Wow ! That means Kim Porter makes about $360,000 a year
as a mother instead of being a CEO... plus Misa Hylton-Brim
another $260,000 a year. Imagine that looks like
mother's "salary" ...
Many CEOs earn about $200,000 or more per year.
Amazing...

damn thats too much money.

my mom doesnt make much at all, probably average, about 40-50k a year and she refused child support from my father. i dunno why, i think she didnt want to seem greedy or something - she's the one who wanted the divorce anyway.

i still see my dad a all the time and i lived with him for years back and forth.
 
Demanding CS or giving away to adoption???

I spoke with my several girlfriends to get their reactions recently. So, I splitted into two groups of their repeated answers.

First group: I asked them if they were surprised to get pregnant and what would they do next? This group would want to keep the child and demand a child support (CS) from the father! Whoa, what an attitude problem! :roll:

Second group: I asked the same question as above. This group would want to give away to childless married infertility couple who always wanted to have a children through adoption as part of Act of Love. Cool! :cool: They appeared to be more smarter than the first group. Why? To avoid poverty if CS didn't work out or collecting at minimum amount that they didn't deserve. But, good for the child to grow with the adoptive folks without any further suffering legal jargons. 2-5-8!

Anyone here disagrees with the second group? If so, please discuss.

It's not about being greedy how so? It takes two to bring a child in the world and it takes two to raise a child. So does that make a father a sperm donate if he doesn't pay child support? Yes it does. :whistle:

:confused: How is that an attitude problem? I didn't know that fathers have free rides? It doesn't work that way. Why should the women take all the responsible on their own when it takes two to make a baby? :)

Your Mum is not alone, my sister is the same too, she don't want to received child support money from her ex for their son. It is her decision to block him out of her life.

She said she will help him if he want to know more about his father once he is 18.

Whatever the natural mother changes the attitude toward the natural father to keep the child away out of sight, that's why there is a father's rights organization in "Down Under" to get in line with the child...

But, why is it necessary for those people to go thru those crap emotional drains? I have been reading those issues in the newspapers and can't seems to get the picture of it why all this happening in this world. It is because when they make love, they had a fun time. When it comes to child issue, everything changes (removing the face masks) to go after the fathers to go hell. That's what happened to my younger brother! He has been living in hell.

I'll give a vivid imganiation: A child and father just like a toothbrush. Once you used up the old toothbrush, you toss it out and get a new toothbrush. A natural mother just toss out old "father" and get a new "child". Consider a child like a "replacement" of the father. I think it's nuts out there! :crazy: I thought once they make love, then they can enjoy having family together. But, it's just destroying the family, demanding CS, and kick the father out of sight away from the child.

One thought came to mind what happened to the child's equal opportunity when you were little back then? It's not painting a pretty fair for the child to go through of what we didn't go through back then. Sad! :tears:

Simple. A gal identifies a guy who could afford CS. She spreads her legs to attract him like flies. A guy gives her whatever. She knew that once she gets pregnant, she'll be exciting to go after his money, not the child's livilhood sake. She wears fancy clothes while her child was having holes on pants. That's the mother's attitude problem I'm seeing out there.

greedy is when they are taking 21,000 dollars a month.

there's people who dont even make that much per year!!

at 21,000 a month, she'd be making 242,000 a year!!! she doesnt have to work for the rest of her life! thats not a "child" support, thats a living!
