The city buses around here are going on strike, but thats not what this is about.. Read for shocking human behavior! (Ok thats a lil excessive but.. ya know ;)) I take the bus to/from school and to/from work.. this was today..

On the way home, the bus driver stopped reallly really fast and a woman fell out of her seat. She was sitting in the front and she tumbled out and hit a metal pole on her shoulder. The bus driver didnt even stop to make sure she was okay or help her get up. A few passengers got up and helped her, and made sure she was ok. That woman looked like she was about to cry, and I was in shock. Even as they did this, he didnt even slow down as he approched the next stop.

All I know was that a car was turning onto the intersecting street (making a left turn, going across traffic, on a 1 lane 2 way street) and either the driver of the car stopped short, or the bus driver wasnt paying attention. I wasnt aware of how fast he was going because I was reading a book, but when my stop came along, i pulled the ringer (or whatever it is) and he was still going rather quickly when he approached my stop. I stood, and knew that if i left my seat (i was sitting in the 2nd or 3rd row so i had the backs of the seats protecting me) i would fall forward just like that woman. Only worse cause I'd be standing and she was sitting. So I stood there and the bus stopped QUICKLY at my stop, and the driver was just an ass. I got off the bus and he took off at the same speed, what a fucker.

I think thats just WRONG, i dont care if you hate your job or you feel the need to go on strike, you dont endanger people's lives like that. This gets a big ass :thumbd: from me. =/

boy... they should have reported to the company about that driver.. get that driver FIRED :D

Yeah and also on the Animal Planet Channel that the show called Emercy Vets..the husband and the wife was angry at the bus driver because they hit the dog and left immedity without stopping and see if the dog's ok.. the dog nearly died because of her chest but it's fixed and she's ok.

I dislike when people r just an ass.. hitting people and animals then leave them for dead. Like hit and run.

I think I was in too much of a shock to get the bus driver's number, they have employee numbers that are shown at the front of the bus. You have to step out of it to get it. Then you write the route number, time and approximate location. With that info, you can call and complain or email, or something. Im just appalled at the behavior i've seen lately. Its really dumb when you think about it - dont like your job? quit. *shrugs*

Did you get his name and the number of the bus (not the line number, but the actual ID number of the bus)? And did you write down pertinent information such as the time of day and the approximate location of the bus? Municipalities are constantly on guard against litigation in this day and age—it’s very easy to get guys like that in trouble these days. It’s not just ignored anymore. Personally, I love getting people into trouble—it’s one of my favorite pastimes. :D

ASSHOLE ---> :booty: :rl: <---TERMINATOR

Looks like a few people posted ahead of me while I was composing my post. My question was already answered. That’s OK, pinkster—don’t kick yourself. You’ll learn to get meaner when you get a little older. Hopefully one of the other passengers got the info and called his superiors.

The bus driver is probably a scabbie, someone the bus company pulled off the street to drive the buses while the REAL bus drivers are on strike.

The strike doesnt take effect till 10 days from the submittal of notice... and they've only voted amongst themselves to strike, theres no date set yet for when they will go on strike.

They're fucking up a lot, not just the for the people who ride the bus but.. for the light rail opening!

Few years ago, I rode on Grey Ground bus from Pittsburgh, PA to Boston. The lady bus driver ate cheeseburger and fried French with speed. The old man walked very slowly with a cane. She did not wait for him to get in the bus. She just shut the door and left. The man was screamed for stop. I wrote down the bus driver name and number of the bus. I wrote a letter to Headquarter about the bus driver did not respect an elderly man with a cane and drove too fast at same time she ate the cheeseburger in her mouth in one hand and soda cup in other hand.

Grey Ground Company send me a free round trip Boston to Pittsburgh, PA for my complaint in the letter. They really appreciated of my concern due to safety in the bus.

If I were in your shoes. Write a letter to the Bus Station to explain them the situation with the bus driver name and number of the bus, time, date, etc... Absolutely, the bus driver will terminated !

dang Jamie -- i hope everybody on that bus got to their destination alright ack --

yes that occurs everywhere nationwide -- ive had to report 1 of the county drivers back east and 1 of the top supervisors is my mom  anyway -- ive reported quite a few but this one stands out -- i was out and about doing errands and etc -- my light had turned green for me to be able to get going (i was behind this other car) when all of a sudden this bus driver just roared thru the intersection with a red light NEARLY causing a collision with this car in front of me -- got his bus nbr, time, route and all the info needed and went straight home and reported it to mom -- turned out the driver was reprimanded previously (once) for his driving complaints and this was the 2nd time -- he got fired! :thumb:

I‘m convinced that almost all bus drivers are some sort of subhuman life form. Especially here in Los Angeles. I’ve seen some real freaks out there. I remember once when I was about twelve years old I saw a guy with a broken leg and a full length leg cast struggling to get off a city bus. He was trying to balance on one crutch, and had the other crutch wedged under his armpit while he was using his hand to grab onto anything he could find for support. The bus driver looked like he was about ready to have a stroke, and yelled at him to "hurry up, I don’t have all day". The split second that the guy was clear of the door, the driver slammed the door and zoomed off. I guess it’s no small wonder that the Metro System in Los Angeles gets an average of three lawsuits a day filed against them.

yeah that's the sad part...

In fact.. the bus drivers must have their timely in order.. must be at that checkpoint at right time.. cannot be a min late.. it's their strict rules.. bus drivers cant be late at the route. that probally cause the driver to have a pressure.. to be on time and get things done on time.. i think they should be more flexable about the time..

I think I would rather ride a bus than be on a taxi sometimes. Sometimes I think the taxi drivers are illiterate or something when I give them a piece of paper with address on it, they still ask me where I want to go. My friend came to New York City with me once and said that in the subway, it is not clear at all what the driver says: "KDSJHDUSHD SDNSDHUD SKLDJAKSLJHHB MDNLSKJHDHSBDM" (translation: Next stop, Grand Central).

Scuba -- granted thats true theyre on a time schedule and etc and thats expected to have them be at a stop at a specified time -- in events of bad weather (this based on how it is back east) -- the drivers DO run late due to extreme weather conditions -- ie: blizzards, ice storms, flash flooding incidents and etc -- everything and i mean LITERALLY everything is backlogged -- buses are late, the subway system are running behind schedule and etc -- those are the events where the general public has to accept that fact and live with that when it occurs
