When I have the time and resources to make hamburgers that I would enjoy, I would do it this way...
- smoke them using flavored wood chips and charcoal
- add some seasoning to the beef
- use fresh cut and thick patted beef from the meat department (usually come in packs of 4) instead of those thin frozen patties from the freezer section of grocery stores
- use Muenster cheese
- mix some mayo with a bit of Frank's Red Hot sauce
- add thick-cut smoked bacon
On the plate, I add some kettle-cooked sea salt & vinegar potato chips. The sea salt flavor adds some tingling sensation to my tongue as I eat that delicious burger.
