Oh. That makes more sense than the first article that said natural cause.

It would be odd for two people that age to die one after the other of natural causes.
 
The whole thing is bizarre. Why did Britanny's mother find him?

I hope not. I'm not making an accusation. It's just the whole thing is weird. But sometimes weird things happen. We'll have to wait and see.
 
Rumor is that he died from OD.

It's not unusual for a spouse to commit suicide or have accidential OD after losing a spouse. The stress can be too much.

My grandfather died just a few months after my grandmother died. I believe it's pneumonia and it's likely due to stress of losing his wife.

i read on yahoo news says its foul play im not sure what he expect died from but i learn read from people magazine says he suppose have heart surgery but its too late..
 
I was at the gym and watching TV...it was reported that he was scheduled to have heart surgery but put it off until a fundraiser was completed and ended up with a heart attack. Thank goodness I have an appt with a cardiologist next week about my heart troubles. That is a tough lesson about putting off one's health for unimportant things.

About 75 friends and family members gathered in Los Angeles Thursday to bid farewell to Brittany Murphy’s husband Simon Monjack, who died Sunday.

The private orthodox Jewish service, presided over by Rabbi David Baron, took place in the Chapel of the Hills, the same memorial chapel where Murphy was eulogized in December after her death. Monjack was then buried next to his late wife at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

"It was Simon's wish to be laid to rest next to her," says family spokesman Roger Neal, who described the memorial as "celebratory and healing."

Brittany’s mother Sharon Murphy and Monjack’s mother Linda spoke at the service. "Sharon was very strong and spoke and about how much she loved Simon, and how now Simon and Brittany are together,” says Neal. "She told them 'I'll miss you my babies.' "

A photo of the couple sat by Simon’s casket at the ceremony, which closed with a recording of Brittany singing a rendition of “Smile,” accompanied by Simon on the piano.

Monjack, who had a history of heart problems, was found dead Sunday night by Sharon. Firefighters who responded to the scene said Monjack may have suffered a heart attack. "We're not sure if it is natural causes or a possible accident," according L.A. Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter, who confirmed prescription medication was found at the scene.

Sharon Murphy, whose daughter died unexpectedly last year, "loved Simon like a son,” says Neal. "She is feeling devastated by the loss of a daughter and a son-in-law in the space of six months."

Sharon is proceeding with plans to establish a Brittany Murphy Foundation dedicated to supporting youth in the arts.
