Last night, after Deaf play rehearsal, my mom paged and asked me to get some cake mixes and a dozen eggs. So I went to get them: 6 boxes of cake mix and a carton of one dozen eggs. Obviously, my hands were full, but was able to talk to mom on the SidekickII. Then I walked to the front of the store to the area that's open space right before you go into the registers. I walked past a stand-alone poster sign and a lady was stading there, reading it. It caught my eye and I walked up to it. The lady left, and I stood there alone looking at pictures of a baby in a hospital. I looked at all of the pictures, catching "we are learning sign language" and a picture of the baby boy wearing hearing aids. I thought to myself that it's a cute baby boy. I was still talking to mom on the SidekickII when I scanned up from the picture of the boy to the picture of his parents. *GASP!* I paged my mom with "HOLY SHIT!", tried to switch to the camera mode and accidentally shut down my SidekickII. Shit, shit, shit!! I fumbled around with my hands full of grocery, set them all down on the floor, then tried to get my pager started up again. Frustrated, I grabbed all the cake mixes and eggs, and set them on an unused register. I walked back and made sure my SidekickII started up. My mom paged me back, but I ignored her, taking 3 pictures of the stand.

I was in TOTAL shock, because I remember 10 years ago, I used to work at this awful grocery store chain. I worked at that shitty, discriminating store, "Smitty's", which merged with Smith's, and then it merged with Fry's Food Marketplace. There I am standing in shock at Fry's. I know the guy! It hit me, I remember telling him, "Listen asshole! For the shit you give me, I hope to God you get a Deaf son and then you'll feel the guilt and the pain you put me through!" I don't know why I said that, but knew he was going to have a deaf kid and warned him that he'll feel bad about treating me this way. The guy has twin sisters, one is such a bitch and the other is sweet, but still bitchy. Those three were part of making my life Hell while working at Smitty's. I looked closer to make sure it is the SAME guy I am thinking of. Yup, I saw his full name. Same guy, same asshole. But he better be a nicer guy than he was before! You might ask, "Why was that poster put up???" Well, I found out from parts of the poster, it is a plead for money to donate to the March of Dimes organization. Ahh, the dude's pimping his Deaf son!

Anyway, it's a local Fry's Marketplace store. I know I am bound to bump into that asshole sooner or later. I simply don't know what I am going to do or say to him when I do.

Wow, I know how you feel too. Sometimes, people just don't think twice before they do what they do.
 
I believe in Karma, what goes around comes around! If you do good deeds, the three times better deeds will come back to you, but if you do bad deeds, you will get triple shits. I have thought this and that, and CAN see the fate afterward. Generally not right away.
 
Wow, Deaf258, this is VERY interesting!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing that with us and proving that karma does bite ass hard ....it s not matter of timing but it will eventually happen someday when not expected!!!!!
 
intresting u posted that... cuz heres my story i was saving til the right time and uposted the perfect one....


my dad and my mom ( my bilogical dad that is) was mocking a deaf kid in thier high school and again at a gathering in my old hometown.. mom however was kind and sweet to this guy ( who turns out to be my babysitter) anyhow... he was SO mocking this sweet dude.. and well mom told him to knock it off but he didn't so this dude said exactly what u said and mom interped ( that time she knew see signs like the back of her hand so interping came easy for her) anyway... lo and behold here came me and it reared an ugly end on my dad's ass.. he was like oh no its all cuz of me mocking isn't it ... since that day.... he has treated everyone with respect and inculding the deaf too... he understood never to judge the book by its cover. same for people don't judge poeple by thier looks and personality... so my own dad got owned in every aspect... since then he accepted my deafness and always found some sort of way to send child support pay since it was agreed with him and mom to pay what he can since he ran a farm... so :wave: im here :)
 
I believe Karma can be might came back and mak'n look worst..

*sigh* Shame him.. He was treat you looks bad.. Now he deserved and understand why he got new Deaf baby.... "Looks alike Karma"
 
WTF? Where the fuck does this dude get off putting up a fucking three-page flyer in a supermarket asking complete strangers to give him money just cuz he’s got a preemie kid? :rofl: :rofl: :rofl: That shit might work in Utah, but nobody around here would even bother to read it. Shit—that clown doesn’t even deserve to have a deaf kid. He should get taken out and bitch slapped around by a Mormon Brownie troop. And if you ever see the guy again, tell him I think his old lady looks like a pole dancer. :lol:
 
Wow, that is interesting.

Before I came into the world, my mother made friends with few deaf people, while other people dissed deaf people. She was so kind to deaf people, interpreted for them, and kept them company.

She now has a deaf daughter - ME! :D
