That's terrible. Love can be a complicated thing, so be very careful with other people.

I agree.

I know a lot of people who are like this... short tempered... acting before thinking.

BE PATIENT

It's still a made-up story.

Look at the URL...

http ://w ww.s habb ir.c om/ jokes /ins piri ng/i nspb epat ient .html

That link isn't an official news site or anything, just a private webpage made by someone to inspire others. :)

If you would all just read the link that I posted you would see the proof that the whole story is just made up fiction. Please check Snopes.com before you print "true" stories that are NOT true. It will save you a lot of misunderstanding and embarrassment.

I already checked it out and get it that the story is fiction. I just thought it was true because a friend sent that to me. But I am not embarrass over it. But as long as the story have a good lesson in it. Then it worth reading about it. We all make mistakes.

Yep, You're correct it is worth reading, giving parents second-thoughts before striking a child.

It is a story more like a wake-up call. I really liked this story, the same time it's sad, but it's true on how things can be replaced and children cannot.

To me, it really doesn't matter whether it's true or not, the point is, it may or may not happen and this is a wake-up call in case some of us may lose our temper...

Thank you for posting this story up anyways :)...

I agree with you, it a wake up call. It scary to know when a parents lose it and hit the child it a worst feeling to have. Children can't be replace which we can not do. I think that would help a person read this story to avoid losing a temper or hurt a child before it too late. It a scary thing to lose a temper and realized hit someone or abuse someone it a big mistake. :)

yep as others have mentioned this is an urban legend and not a true story. While the message of patience is a good one, the story about the dad smashing his sons fingers is totally false. and let me just add that if anyone actually beats their child over a vehicle then that person has other deep rooted issues that have nothing to do with patience.

Oh well, even though it's an urban legend but with this story... I don't think it's really funny like a joke, but it could be very good to learn basic matter of thought for the audience all ages. It puts me in perspective in things, mainly about who I dearly love.

AMEN! I am with you all the way.

When i read this...i had doubts as it was so hard to
believe that it actually happened...even though some
parents did actually hurt their children but something
like this?...whoa, that was a bit extreme and this father
went as far as committing suicide was a bit too far fetched
too...heh.

I have watch lot of true story on TV mostly about parents abuse their kids and that very scary thing to happen in the world today. For example,, some parents told me they had a baby and the baby wouldn't stop crying and they feel like throw them out the window. But they know they can't do that. SO they have to learn to be patient with a child crying and babies will act that way which is normal. Some people don't have that much patient with kids. I seen that lot.

With the story being perhaps untrue, however, the concept and similar type of abuses, situations is happening just about anywhere...due to the fact that patience is becoming more lacking in which it may be more prevalent in today's world.

Bottom line...if such anger or becoming violently enraged...taking the 'time' to step away from the situation/area to another area to cool down, to gather insight and to build up the strength to remain calm is one of the best options to take.

I was watching Forensic Files a couple hours ago. A father was accused of killing her 9 year old daughter. The girl's mother was suspiciously disappeared years before the killing.

Meanwhile, the father was in a relationship with his new girlfriend whom his daughter did not like. One day, the father called the cops fearing that his daughter was kidnapped from his house on way to school. The police went out looking for her, but no lead tips available, even tips from the neighbors. That changed the focus of this story from an unknown assailant to her father. The police had her father's vehicles towed away for investigating.

They secretly planted a GPS device on his trucks. It won't take long (in the span of 4 days) when the father drove about 65 miles in a vast forest, and then go back through his hometown to nearby empty area. Know what he did? He felt that his daughter's first grave was not deep enough so he had to move the body 65 miles to another location - her second grave - but the GPS has tracked his every move and precisely counted time... It revealed that the father has spent 44 minutes digging up for his daughter's new grave 65 miles away from home. That's obvious.

The police finally got a lead and recovered the body from the grave. The physical evidences were there and went through extensive testings to confirm who was the killer. It turned out to be his father. The duct tape on her body and hair matched the ones he had at home, it also matched the tire tracks to his own truck at the graveyard, and plastic bags from the same place at his house. That was the final puzzle piece. The father plead not guilty but he was found guilty for first degree murder. He got 56 years behind the bars, that is not enough in my opinion. Back to the start, where was the girl's mother? The mother's brother felt that she was killed, too. Her body is probably somewhere under the foundation. The father worked on the foundation when he killed the girl's mother, I suppose.

Why?

He was very obsessed with his then girlfriend - now ex-girlfriend, way too obsessed. He acted like his ex was much more important than his own daughter's life. Remember the girl and the ex did not get along, so it might be the factor. He was crazy over his ex, so he went on killing a dear young life. I don't understand him, not at all. When his ex found out that he was in jail, he proposed to her, she feared for her life. She changed the locks and do everything to be safe from him.

Really sad story. Real sad.
