People like what they like. I am not "average mom" looking, so that is not what I like either. See the guy in the Youtube videos above? That is what I call super good-looking.

Yeah, they're all guys of a Japanese band. They have that black eyeliner and lip piercing stuff quite often.

I'm not sure what to categorize their music - have heard a couple before. Seems like a mix between metal and rock.

How is Miss Kat doing hearing now?

She likes it a lot. She never fought putting the CI on, and she is always excited and showing us what she can hear. She is hearing at about 15-25 db, after just one month, it is amazing.

I love to read. I will read text books if they are on a subject I am interested in. I'm still worjing on learning ASL and I am a part of Hands & Voices, which is a group for parents of deaf children. I also love music.

Yes, she is learning ASL as her first language and now she is starting to get spoken language.

I've been married for 9 years.

No pets. We used to have a dog, but when we moved we had to give him to my in-laws. They live across the street from us!
