Any of you have the same problem?...

Dr. Bronner? What's your fav scent: Mine was Tea Tree - although its nearly impossible to find it in MO - have to order it online. I just finished my Peppermint today...into recycling the container goes!

When you dry yourself with a towel, PAT yourself instead of rubbing up and down or sideway. It does make a difference.

Honestly, weather or location have nothing to do with it. Well, that's what I understand from medical point of view.

Two well-known factors:

1) did not consume enough 'good' fats. 'Good' fats will moisturizing our skins, our cells, our organs, etc... If having the dryness problem. It can be track down to not enough 'good' fats. (Some people said that drinking the water or juice will help the dryness problem but in fact, it does not).

2) Cheap or unnatural chemical soaps tend to cause the dryness problem. It is well-known cause. Buy natural soap like Dr. Bronner's soap. You can check at http://www.drbronner.com/soaps.html - I used that soap for many years (thanks to my mom for that knowledge)... I never have the dryness problem whenever I am done with washing the dishes or whatever.

I moved from Cal to east coast and lived there for only one year... I don't have any dryness problem because of 'good' fats I consume daily and high-quality soap like Dr. Bronner's. I just want to share my experience and my medical point of view.

Cheers!

I would like to try those soaps. Do you find them in health stores?

What kind of lotion you guys use?...and which one works the best?

everyone's skin is different than others.. one certain cream works for one person but doesnt work for the others.. so you need to experiment to see which works best for you.. which is a pita.. i try not to get scented lotions.. cuz i am tired of attracting bugs in the summer! LOL

thats right, oakbluff!! :thumb: that is if you have the PATIENCE!!

another trick id like to share that i learned from my mom!!

when you apply cream on your face.. make sure your face is a litte wet/damp... before applying cream on it.. cuz it is easier to apply the cream.. it will leave some smoothness on your face, prevent from some stretching and some dryness.. i do it all the time now .. it does make a difference!!

i listen to my mom now.. cuz she looks great for her age.. people tell me that all the time.. she has a beautiful skin!! it is amazing!! and she is (HUSH) 66!! .. she HATES when ppl know her age.. i tell her who cares cuz she doesnt even look 66.. she looks 40 and so does my dad (71- with very little gray hair!! imagine that!??) and i dont EVEN look my age either!! i am grateful to have great genes in my family.. so thats why i want to take care of my skin.. (sorry this is a little off the point) :D

LOL

:D Yeah, there are plenty numbers of health stores in California. That's why I like to live in California because of its awareness of organic and natural foods importance. I never shop anything at Trader Joes but I will buy if I need anything or too lazy to drive to Wild Oats or Whole Foods Market. My fav store to shop: Whole Foods Market because of their supplies (pasture-feed meats and eggs)

rofl. Yeah I understand what you mean ;) Yeah.. natural deodorants are horrible.. You and I are in same boat but it took years for us (mom and me) to find a right deodorant. You can try Aubrey Organics' E Plus High C (Natural Roll-On Deodorant). You can take a look at: http://www.aubrey-organics.com/product1.cfm?product_id=082 -- it is pretty good. It does not give me any problem. I am too senititve to these deodorant.. I often get the 'red spot' on my armpits if I use these both natural and unnatural deodorant but not with Aubrey's E Plus High C so I am grateful to have that. Try it?

I am bit uneasy about homeopathy, it may work.. it may not work. It is largely depend on individual.. if it does work on you then great and stick with it. It does not work for me so I didn't bother to use it.

Dove body gel really? ....hmm....Ill try that too, Thanks!

In cold climates, the winter air is naturally drier. It is even worse indoors with heating systems that dry the air even more.

The Aveeno line has some very good moisturizing products for use in the bath, shower, and after.

same here.. REQUEST to have humidifer at home to keep moisture. Best to use Vitamins E lotion, but i use Hempz lotion (from hair salon) I know its a cannabis sativa lotion in it but it does helps.
