I just talked with my brother. He told me about my sister's dog .. :(

My sister was very bond and best friend her own huge dog. He is a Bernese mountain dog and 8 years old. My sister notices that he was sick last Monday then took him to vet. They were found out that he has cancer so need to surgery, but last Thursday, he died while undergoing a surgery table!

Soooo.... Vet billed my sister $$1500.00 :mad: … I cannot believe that they billed my sister while her dog died on a surgery table. I felt it is not right??? :cry::(
 
I think it is not nice, but I believe always the policy. I know when having surgery on a dog we have had to sign a paper that relieves the vet of responsibility if it dies and says also we have to pay no matter what.

It is very sad about your sister's dog.:(
 
Awww....Vet did the job, and billed her to pay the fee. I am sorry about the dog had died :(
 
I am sorry to hear that but u know what no matter what if the dog had a surgery or while under vet care still have to pay them for their services. Just like the hospital or nursing home do.
 
Sorry to hear about this... I agree, it was mean that they billed you while they doesn't do any success on the dog. :(
 
It may not seem "fair," but if it was you or someone else on this planet that died on the operating table, fees incurred still have to be paid by someone. This is a fact of life. Just because a person or a dog dies on the operating table doesn't mean that the procedure being done is free. Supplies used have to be paid for, who do you think pays for those? The vet? Listen, the vet is just as broken up as the family is and it is a fact of life.
 
i know any animal at vet's office have pretty serious policy

i cant blame phillips on their feelings about their sister's dogs dies on surgery tables IF you have argues with vets lots they will faces with court if they will win or not because vet they can lose busniess its truth.
 
Okay its so sad to see my sister to pay big bill and not get her dog alive back home:( anyway


Today I am going to the store and get sympathy Card! :)
