ET has confirmed that actor CHRIS PENN, who is the younger brother of SEAN PENN and star of movies like 'Reservoir Dogs' and 'Starsky & Hutch' has died. Investigators were on the scene Tuesday, where Penn was found dead in Santa Monica, CA. He was 43. Penn played the role of Nice Guy Eddie in QUENTIN TARANTINO's 1992 cult hit 'Reservoir Dogs'; he also appeared in the movie 'Rush Hour' and on episodes of the television shows "Entourage" and "Everwood." Penn is survived by his mother, EILEEN RYAN, and brothers Sean and MICHAEL.

No foul play suspected in the death of Sean Penn's brother


LOS ANGELES - Actor Chris Penn has died in a Santa Monica residence, with no signs of foul play, a local ABC television affiliate reported Tuesday.

Penn, 43, was the brother of actor Sean Penn and starred in dozens of films.

He played baby-faced criminal Nice Guy Eddie Cabot in director Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” and starred along with his brother in the 1986 film “At Close Range.” He also played Willard Hewitt in “Footloose” in 1984.

Recently, Penn voiced Officer Eddie Pulaski in the video game “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.”

Santa Monica police and the Los Angeles County Coroner were not immediately available for comment.

maybe a conservative person pissed off of Sean Penn's liberal speech.

Sorry to hear that he passed on. I never knew that he was Sean Penn's young brother. I know who Sean Penn is - he was Madonna's ex-husband.

Poor guy. I recognize his pohotos, I must have seen some movies and/ or shows with him.
he looks kinda on a heavy side, perhaps heart attack...?

I never heard of him, and I never saw any of his movies, but it is still sad when someone dies so young. :(
 
Chris Penn is bigger as compared to his brother, Sean. I loved him in the recent movie "Reservior Dogs". He did an amazing job on it.

I agree with Ms P about the drugs. When I read this, what came to mind was "drug overdose", or suicide. We'll see when his autopsy report is released, but if I was a betting woman, I'd put my money on drugs as the cause of death.
