we thought 250s are fast at 220ks in the early 90s' but fuck they were already doing that in 1963 !!!! whoa but ok the powerband will be hard to catch and way up in the rev and NARROW....h mmm
its interesting ch though
hell i rode a ex-WORLD CHAMP's CR125 motocrosser (1987 model) and it FLEWWWW !!
it made my ported RM125 motocross a bit lame, but it wasnt a slouch , just it felt it was robbed of 125cc lol BUT it did'nt have the spread of a nice 250 crossers wow that power band on the Pro Circuit (which was Rare in NZ at that time - hell i rode it such priviledge!) it just INTENSE !!! or there's a word for it...
I LOVED IT BUT mum (at the time I didnt have the money flatly refused to help me get it i was working back then and willing to pay back, what a bitch LOL)

oh well...
such is life
then in 4 years later i was pissing everyone on a 200cc they thought a 490 LOL

I'm sorry for your loss. :(

TCS and I just returned (in the rain) from another PGR mission. This time, we were part of the last leg of a relay mission that started in Arkansas.

A veteran died in Arkansas, and he had no known family. The only connection they could find was a lady who lives in the Charleston area. She had befriended the man, who at the time was homeless in this area. She helped him get back into the VA system, get help, and get back on his feet and off the streets.

At his funeral in Arkansas, his coffin was covered by an American Flag. It was folded, and presented to a PGR representative there. He, with a motorcycle escort, began the first leg of the relay. At each state, the ride captain turned over the American Flag, a PGR flag, a remembrance book signed by the ride participants, and disposable cameras that included pictures from each stop.

Our group made the actual presentation to the lady. There were 30 bikes that rolled into her apartment complex parking lot. The ride captain made the presentation in the parking lot. It was very touching. Even though it started to rain at the end, she stood out there until she gave us each a hug. :tears:

We rode home in the rain after. We took the back way thru the plantation two-lane that is covered with spreading live oak trees (like Gone With the Wind).

p.s.

We ordered rainsuits and boot covers last night.

I went to DMV yesterday after work. The lady at DMV told me that I would need inspection then I can get license plate for my cruiser. It was a very good news for me cuz I don't have to worry about bill of sale or special document to prove that I bought motorcycle legally. The seller who sold me Volusia told me that new title have attachment on bottom that include make , model, vin, sale, signature of seller and my signature that make process faster and easier. I got it notarized so its all set for.

Since that I will have to take my motorcycle to inspection next two weeks because of my work schedule.. I decide to renew motorcycle permit. I went to DL place and I passed test with 5 error out of 25 question (all multiple choice). Now, I'm set for riding test after I get license plate. for it.

As for riding test. I grabbed chance to see and measure cone near DL place. OOOOHHH man that's easy!!!!! Salom part are 14 ft apart!!! (I measure with my size 12 shoes :giggle: ) I won't have problem. doing it since my bike is well balanced. also the rest of markings on riding test seem simple. I don't see any double circle there. So I don't have to do it lol.

that's a hell of trouble you're going thru. what I did is...

1. paid the seller cash and we wrote the letter about the situation like "I have paid him $$$$$ on August something"
2. He gave me a title
3. I went to DMV with proof of insurance and title.
4. They gave me plate
5. I'm required to get my bike inspected within 10 days

viola

btw - NJ no longer requires motorcycles to get inspection as of August 1, 2010

Intresting, Kansas law require inspection BEFORE getting License Plate. I don't mind all that. My wife went through inspection before on 2005 Dodge Durango. It took Kansas Highway Patrol 5 min or less to inspect and give her certification of inspection.

I must admit that Kansas have strange law. WHY!!?? Because, Missouri requires yearly inspection and usually have inspection sticker on driver side windshield or on main fork frame (inside front frame) of Motorcycle (that's what I have on my Bike which I bought it in Mo.). All vehicles in MO must be in good shape to pass the inspectipon While......Kansas DON'T need inspection if any vehicle purchased inside of State of Kansas. I've seen people driving with shattered windshield on one side, one or more donut tires (I've seen one car have 4 of them on), Some cars looked like it belongs to junkyard but still driving :eek2: , my friend's 74' Harley nearly stripped down that there are no signaller on and speedometer and KDOT (Kansas Dept of Transportation) passed the inspection!! Yike!! Kansas is mostly rural and only medium size cities are Kansas City (They called it Greater Kansas City cuz it combined Wyandotte and Johnson County), Topeka, and Wichita. That's explain why inspection no needed except if any vehicle purchased outside of Kansas.

Strangely, about junkyards, MO have plentiful of junkyards and Kansas just have just a few!! Because Mo people are so reckless than Kansas. That's the fact. Try driving on I-435 in Missouri side. You'll understand why. That's why I always go to junkyard in MO cuz it's plentiful and very cheap than Kansas. Kansas junkyard tend to be high priced.

So If I had my day off from work during weekday, I would be able to get it all done half of day. Kansas DMV is now worst place to get license plate. It'll take 2hrs or more of waiting time before you can register it. The management in DMV screwed up one of the damn best system that ran so smoothly that you only have to wait 15 min or less. It had been running for long time until new management decide to change the system, scrrrreeewwwww everything up and ended up with pissed taxpayers just because he think it saves money. No wonder why DMV hand out Power of Attorney to allow taxpayer to let their friends or relative whoever are free to sit more than 2 hours waiting time while owners unable to get their time off from work (like me). I don't trust anyone doing it for me for my bike!!!!

I can't wait to get thing done so I can ride motorcycle!!

that is a very strange law...... inspection before license plate. For example - how can the person get the motorcycle inspected if there's no license plate??? that would mean he needs to get a trailer!

very troublesome!

I know they have tried putting 2wd in motorcycles but don't see the popularity, yet. It seems that they still stick with rwd motorcycles.
