Hi NaidaUP, thank you!!
I forgot to mention -- I've performed searches on this forum for Phonak NAIDA + CROS and Phonak CROS, and have been through reading many threads already. That was one of the ones I have already read. :)
Update: So Thursday I finally got insurance approval, and ordered a new Phonak NAIDA Q90 UP hearing aid for my right ear w/CROS device for my dead left ear (insurance is only paying for about half -- which is better than nothing, and it's amazing because it's the first time I have insurance that...
Update: I am awaiting insurance approval now for my new NAIDA Q90 UP + CROS hearing aid.
It shouldn't be long now until I can go pick them up.
Does anyone else here have a similar hearing loss who has used this combo?
Hi NaidaUP!!!
Coincidentally, today I DID end up getting the Phonak NAIDA Q90s with a wireless CROS system for my dead left ear, based on a recommendation from my audiologist. :)
I was going to pay out of pocket to get them sooner but then I found out I have a $2,000 hearing aid benefit...
Hi everyone,
It has been awhile!
The time has come for me to purchase a new hearing aid. I have a Phonak NAIDA Q50 UP and I am thinking about upgrading to the NAIDA Q90 UP.
But, the thing is...I am hearing about how certain Oticon hearing aids blow away the NAIDA and how people...
Hey, Sarfarigirl!
It's been awhile!
Yeah. I will. Can't afford the $100 - $200 repair price though :(
I don't think I've even had this compilot for a year yet.
Hey everyone! :)
Long time no see.
Anyway, my Phonak ComPilot is going out. My preference is to have my ComPilot connected via the audio jack mode to my PC. On my PC, I have everything set to proper defaults as set in Phonak's ComPilot connection manual (default communications device...
Thanks, Michael and everyone for your help.
It's been sent off to repair by my audiologist and I am using a loaner compilot for the time being (thankfully). The way it stopped working was a complete mystery even to him. So, I'm just waiting to get it back.
To both of you: Yeah yeah I'm headed to my audiologist as soon as I can make an appointment.
I was hoping someone else had experienced a similar situation and perhaps had a solution. Oh, well! I will keep this thread updated with what happens. D'oh!
Anyone know what would cause this? I tend to use the audio jack mode to listen to music on my iMac and Wireless mode to listen to my TV. Now all of a sudden it seems like it is completely dead for no reason.
This first started happening yesterday. I got home, plugged in my compilot to my iMac...
Well - I'm back with an update!
We ended up finally fixing the "rattling". It was being caused by the feedback canceller. Now the Naida Q50 is awesome and quite possibly the best digital hearing aid I have had yet.
I have been thoroughly enjoying the wireless feature. This is the first...
He has actually done some fine adjustments. We took off all of the software limiters and have it set to acoustic phone. So far, I am getting some amazing results with these settings except for that rattling in the higher frequencies.
Yes! Thank you NaidaUP. I will have my audi go over the settings at our next follow up appointment. Also, I found someone else has had a similar issue with their Phonak aid:
