In my experience, me and my friend met person who sign too fast.

We couldn't understand sign too fast.

We asked politely and says, "sorry your sign way too fast". Then person was kinda mad :/ and says, "forget it!" and walked away. It's like person discrimination against us cuz we couldn't understand sign too fast? .

Anyone can understand sign too fast?

How speed is your sign? (slow, med fast, or too fast).

Mine's just normal med but not too fast.

My friend's same just normal med too. .

We learned that we make sure to let Ddeaf/Hhoh person that we don't sign too fast or way too fast.

Same idea with hearie person who speak too fast and they hearie couldn't understand word hearie person says, like saying, "I'm sorry I couldn't understand cuz you talk too fast".

I am very bad at sign because I was raised oral. I do great at sign with my granddaughter, but she is only 18 months old, so small vocabulary.

lol believe it or not.. this morning after Church. we went out eat. I met one girl. oh boy let me tell you.. she signs so fast that I couldn't read her.. I grew up socializing with deafie. but she came somewhere up north.
boy it blows me away... lol.. I had to ask her to slow down a lil bit. which she did. afterwards she would talk & went back to full speed again.. huuuh.. lol

just sayin'

In my case, I'm pretty much a fast signer. As for my receptive skills, I have no problem understanding a fast signer but when it comes to finger spelling at a lightning speed - That's when it goes over my head and I'm like "Whoa, Whoa, Slow down a little bit".

Ditto for me! I've run into some people that finger spell so quickly it is like one big blur!

If the fingerspelling goes too fast for me to read, it'll pass through my head without reading, I would have to ask the person to slow down but for the signs, no problem.

Supersonic speeds not a problem for me.....lol, I call one of my friends Smokey Fingers!

Mine is terrible never changed any better at all but not too fast understand to deaf.

What do you mean by "fast"?

I do have a friend who signs too fast that I can't always understand her.

Yeah, I usually have to douse his hands with water and tell him to take up Smoke Signals 101, lol!

LOL! The ones I have particular trouble with are the ones that fingerspell at lightening speed, and also keep their hand turned towared the side so that you have to peek around to try to catch it.

When I was young, I do sign too fast but learn lesson and put on medium speed. So, I have no problem so far.
