This is a forum where anyone can post their opinion, and experiences. This forum gives the right for everyone to post this thread or not. People got their own perspective, and it's not same. Basically, those the other few women who just posted, and decides to defend Cheri, which is fine with me.

She didn't have the time to call Human Society what impress me the most that she have the time to posts here on A.D.

Bitching out at her new neighbor is a wise thing to do?

You're correct - Doesn't matter if the pitbulls are good or bad. It has got nothing to do with THIS thread - see how you add up things?

your point does not cross through my points regarding to Cheri's concerns.

Confining Pit Bull Dogs
(Ohio Revised Code Section 955.22D)

Dogs that are a “breed of dog commonly known as a Pit Bull” are automatically considered to be vicious under Ohio law. They must be confined on the owner’s property by means of a locked fenced yard, a locked dog pen that has a top, or some other locked enclosure (such as a house). This law applies not only to pure bred American Pit Bull dogs, but also to other pure bred and mixed breed dogs that have similar physical and behavioral characteristics. Animal Control Officers make the determination as to whether or not a dog is a “breed of dog commonly known as a Pit Bull.” The maximum penalty for a violation of this section on a first offense is a $1,000 fine and up to six months imprisonment. If the dog seriously injures a person, or this is a second offense of this section, the charge may be filed as a felony.

Insuring Pit Bull Dogs
(Ohio Revised Code Section 955.22E)

Dogs that are a “breed of dog commonly known as a Pit Bull” are automatically considered to be vicious under Ohio law. Owners of these dogs must maintain at least $100,000 of liability insurance coverage on these animals. The maximum penalty for a violation of this section is a $1,000 fine and up to six months imprisonment. If you have any questions regarding these laws, please contact a Field Supervisor at the Department of Animal Control’s Enforcement Division at 462-3400

Hope this helps sis ;)

Ask this to yourself, is it appropriate to tell your neighbor WHAT TO DO? wtf, hell no way. :eek3:

Yes it is appropriate to tell the neighbor to keep their dog on their own property, it her property and she's has that right....IF you don't care about dogs being on your property than that's you, unless you don't mind picking up another dog's dropping or stepping on one...

beside she has the right to feel safe in her own property, I would have done the same thing, there no need for a dog to roam freely and end up harming another pet or a child....It's all about being a responsible pet owner, keeping their pet under control....

Ohio Dog Leash Law

Thanks Redhairgurl :)....

Wow...

I do understand how Cheri's feelings and there's some in VodkaBoulevard that I do agree with her...

So, you did speak with owner and s/he don't care. So then you could find out from City Hall to prove them that there's a law that it's require to using the leash on dogs. I hope everything is ok with you after everything is going smooth you ;)

Interesting......And thanks Angel for the links! ;)

Ohio’s vicious dog law requires that owners of pit bulls confine their dogs in a pen with a top or in a fenced yard or by chaining, control the dog with a chain link leash or a muzzle when in public, and purchase $100,000 liability insurance. If the pit bull has been debarked, it is confiscated and killed and the owner is subject to felony charges.

I wish you the best of luck Cheri, Please go to the animal control office and get the help that you, your kids and your dog's safe sake.

It doesnt matter what kind of dog it is as long as they are on the leash or fence in. My next door neighbor dog was put down due to him biting at someone else and he is not a pitpull. He is a big chow dog. Yup. He was such a nice dog til few years later, it happened. He also almost bite me. So yea it was sad time and I understand the situation.

Cheri, great venting and welcome back

Yes I know how you feeling about pitbull... I would have the same feeling as you as well because of bad reputation.

It must be scary when the owner let pitbull go without leash...

The pitbull's owner is an ignorant and disrespectful person... *shake my head disgusit* It's good to know that there're Leash Law in your area then you can call police on them....!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would call police on them if they show their disrespectful when I were you.

You have 2 adorable boys and dog, you think about... You has the right to call police on them because it's about safety...
