How I can cancel the 2 years contract?

How I can cancel the stupid 2 years contract for SK3? I'm not tolerate with limited signal issue and bad server when tried contact anyone at Wal-Mart, that where I work here. I'm supposed to get Treo or other QWERTY cell phones from Cingular or Sprint in last summer but no lucky for me to change it.

Now, I had learned my lesson for not order anything from T-Mobile and want cancel the 2 years contract, also I got SK3 in last August 2006.
 
You use SK3 inside WalMart? If so then sometime signal is weak when you were inside building. I had SK2 signal problem few times when I was inside building with few windows. I had go outside so signal can contact better.
 
You can cancel the service but you will be forced to pay a termination fee.

The fee isn't cheap.

It will cost around $200 to terminate the 2 years contract.
 
IF you terminate and you also get bad credit, too. You can always get a unlocked phone and use it under the same T-mobile network if you're not happy about the sidekick 3. You just move the sim card to the new phone you want. Even tho, many phones don't work well in big box buildings, they disconnect and they connect once you go outside. That's typical.

You means that I can move my sim card to Dash or MDA without pay for terminate fee?
 
You can continue with the contract and buy a phone without a contract (unlocked) and move sim card to a different phone. The contract itself is for service only. They don't care what kind of phone it is. As long you stay with the contract, that's all.

Thanks for helping me, also thanks for warn me about terminate the contract that will affect my credit, that new to me... I will think about change into other QWERTY cell phones in May or June, such as Dash.

You means same as pre-paid? Does I need say "no" to dealer for fill out the new contract?
 
Sidekicks or cell phones does not work well in Walmart because it is built in with metal, and the network will not work great when it's deep inside metal building with no windows. I've gone to Walmart many times and SK3 flashed X once I went inside middle of building. If I work at Walmart and my SK3 does not get signal, then I can wait til I take a break to go outside to check my SK3 email, or IM's or when I get off work. I would not complain about that. I'd stick with SK3 because it is much easier to communicate anywhere away from home. I've been owner of Sidekick since 2004 and never had any issues. Once I have a plm and Tmobile has been courteous to solve it.

Tha what i did before .. i had sk1.. it messed up and took sim card into a cell phone without payin the termation fee

Ditto that about the unlocked but you pay more though as the competition to keep with the contract!!! I think you have within time frame when you want to terminate it... As I know alot of my friends that had SK moved over to either blackberry or treo for that server problems... most of the time it's the sk3.. Even wtih my 8700 i was able to use the sim card I had with my other 7280 previously.... it was on three years but on the third year they told me that I could upgrade so I was okay to purchase the 8700 without termination fee (locked)..

when I was in California on vacation a year ago, my friend's SK couldn't pick up anything in the valley or btwn Mountains which I could be able to get coverage... Whoohoo!!!
 
Your mostly right, but with exception, Blackberry and SK!!! THose two devices, Simcard is not interchangeable!!!! other phones yes can change no matter what.

$200 is probably your best option.

If it started in August 2006, that means it will end in July 2008.

Why would you need it in Walmart? Using a Sidekick is like using a cell phone at Walmart, and that isn't considered appropriate for anyone to use a cell phone on the job. If you were to use it on a break, simply walk to a location that's near the wall for better range.

I have a Sidekick II and my range usually goes to 'X' in the toys, electronics, and shoe department. The reason for that is because those sections are near the middle of the store and close to the back room where it's full of stuff that can reduce the signal.
 
Nope! it is the paint! If paint contains enough copper, then it effectively blocks the wireless signals, that is what Wal-mart is doing, and now more and more courtroom got their walls painted with this type of paint.

It's not always the paint.

A lot of RIT buildings have the same problem due to heavy use of bricks. Some buildings use more bricks and cement in their walls than other buildings. Also, the more brick buildings around you, the less range you get.

My friends had that problem with their pagers. In Sol Heumann Hall (dorm), the pagers have 1 or 2 bars at the first floor. When they go to the 2nd or 3rd floor, it goes to 'X' unless by the window. When they go to the 4th floor, it's 1 bar... 5th floor, 2 bars... 6th floor, 3 bars... 7th floor and up, full range.

I lived on the 8th floor and had full range. My friend lived on the 2nd floor and had to leave his pager at the window to receive messages (or under his computer monitor).
