well, I think you would understand better if it was for your own lover and if you had created a thread that means something to you and it got unsticky very quickly, you'd be upset.
Well, I can understand that... but, it is NOT necessary to be soo pissed off. Just be reasonable and ask Alex what happened and have him to EXPLAIN it. Take it easy and relax.
her point is, all this time people had created threads to say Happy Birthday (you've done it before too) and it stayed sticky for the time being. So Angel creates one for RR and it gets unsticky on the day of his birthday.. which I understand Alex may not have known today was his actual birthday. However, other people's birthdays stay sticky for 3 or 4 days then gets unsticky.. People are more satisfied with that. sometimes the birthday person doesn't always check in Alldeaf for a day or 2. so once it gets unsticky, it'll fade away and won't even notice the person had been greeted unless someone informs him/her.
I can see where she's coming from. when did AD open? 2002 2003?? for the last 4 years, birthday and congratulation greetings had been sticky since then and now there's a rule? I honestly think birthdays and congratulations are good to be sticky because it makes one another to feel good about themselves.

Yes, I know who is Roadrunner like everyone as a member of AD, but I didn't know that it is his birthday, I would miss it if I am too busy to read all AD subjects here.

First of all I did not pointed this out to a specific moderators or had name anyone in my venting post, second I have every right to vent without naming anyone, and third I find it quite funni that you can be soo supportive to other members here that had already vent out, this happen to be my first vent out thread yet you can't even be a little bit more supportive but hell you had to ruin it for your hate against me, don't you think it's getting old by now?....If you don't have anything nice to say, then keep it to yourself....
Read my first post again, it has NOTHING to do with who know who, its all about being fair to every members here, get it? Birthday threads has always has been sticky before I ever became a member here, then suddenly it only one day sticky, birthday members don't usually come on the forum on their birthdays, so how would they know they have a birthday thread???? that the whole point!!
I'm not trying to blame Alex here, I did not know anything about such a change in this until today when I found out that Roadrunner birthday thread was unsticky on his BIRTHDAY!!

Angel and Alex? Because I had the similar experience as Angel in other forum. I ranted in my thread toward Admin. of other forum. (I had tried to solve with Admin. via emails but it doesn´t work). Guess what? He locked my rant thread right way and threat to ban me permanetly if I do that again via PM. Few minutes later a member posted to against my word. I defended myself to against his word.. Guess what.. He BANNED me permantly... That´s because I rant in his forum directly... LOOK at Angel and Alex... Again, Sorry for topic off post... but I only want to positive this case to show you the example. Remember, Alex is only human who makes mistakes. He admitted his mistakes public here which is a great. I find also great that Angel open her feeling here.

I am really confused..I didnt know that it was a big deal for threads to be sticky or to get congrats for number of postings. I didnt get congrats for my 2,000 postings but I really do not care. Birthdays are different but what is the importance of a sticky thread? I am not trying to offend anyone but I am trying to see what the big deal is cuz Sweetheart vented in another thread about the same issue.

Maybe next time, anyone create a birthday threads, should put birthday date on it so Mod would know it will remain "sticky" till end of the day of her/his birthday? I am not sure it would be helpful?
Some do create it a day or two days before her/his birthday (some on their birthday), cuz of being busy or not be on AD for a day or two.

Back then there weren't so many sticky threads, that's why they remained sticky longer. I already apologized to Pam, I don't owe anybody else an apology.
I will make a poll and see if the majority likes your idea. If they do, I'll create a sub-forum for special announcements and it will be under the current Announcements forum, seperated from the General Chat forum.

Yes, I understand your point, Sometimes We got to make a thread a day earlier because if you don't then someone else would created it for this member, I noticed one member kept on creating threads to congrats. others all the time, and most of us couldn't even do that because this member would beat us to the punch.
I can feel you and understand where you are coming from, I'll feel the same way. Shel, I don't even noticed who's got 2,000 or who got 3,000, because I never do pay attention to anyone's post counts unless they tell me that they're close to 5,000 or whatever, then I would created a thread for them, just like for example DeafMonkey imed me on yahoo and told me she was close to her 8,000 posts, and that's how I created a thread for her, it's not that I don't even like you, or anyone else in here, It's just I never pay attention to anyone's post count. Hope that clears that up for you.

Wow, well, i wouldn't take side. And tho, what Angel felt, there's no reason to shooed her out. Bec her precious fiancee's birthday and at the same time it's good to inform Alex, but Alex admit his mistakes, Alex and Angel is working out together to solve the problem. Forgive and work together makes a better team work in this AD. Let it this thing happen. Peace. Smile. Oh, BTW, notice Angel mentioned not to put a blame on Alex.

Look, I didn't create this thread for members to jump on Alex here, I know he made a mistake, and he even apologized, I create this thread after I send Alex and moderators a PM, to finding out who and why, but I didn't hear from any of them so that's I vent out by creating this thread then after I click submit, that when I got a PM from Alex, maybe I should have been a little more patient but I admit I was very upset that night I had a long day helping my hearing sister moved into her new home, we've been gone all day and arrived home somewhere between 7:30 pm to 8 pm. and trying to cook a nice dinner for Roadrunner on his birthday, since we haven't ate dinner yet and I did made a promise that I would make his birthday even more special and then finding out that my birthday thread I create for RR was unsticky on his birthday, I mean a lot was going on that evening, yeah I should have just turned off the computer and walked away by waiting for a PM from one of them, but I didn't,.. Oh well, I'm sorry that this thread got a little carry away here and it wasn't my intense to see this happened...
