I learned that when sending photos in an e-mail, it's best to use the same kind of account the recipient has, so things will go smoother. I learned a few new things about that yesterday.
Never had a problem sending photos to other 'kinds' of emails. There are some emails that do limit the size of an attachment though (for any kind of attachment- photo document etc). I don't think it really matters that much unless it is an email address with severe limitations on storage and attachment size restrictions.

I've had problems with sending to the same email domain more than to others (other than the 'black hole of cyberspace' but this happens just about to every email domain. One of the oddest was when I replied to an email... the email got there alright but it didn't contain any contents- which was strange.

I've never had that problem. That would be very annoying if I had to get email accounts in every kind just to send pictures to multiple recipients.

As long as the attachments have common file extensions (such as jpg), and aren't HUMUNGOUS, I don't see the problem.

Here's the thing, though. The person receiving my photo e-mail has told me in the past that the account the person has would not let this person view photo e-mail from my Gmail address, and that's when I realized that if I used the same kind of account this person had, the photos might show up, and sure enough, they did. Now I know what to do next time I want to send the person a photo e-mail.

It's a problem on their end, not yours. They might have their default settings set to "not display pictures". You should not have to switch to multiple email accounts.

Actually it's not. It's on mine. My Gmail on my tablet isn't functioning properly for some reason, and I cannot figure out why. Same with my phone, although I do have better success sending pictures on there with Gmail, but not always, though. That's why I realized that if I wanted to share photos with this person, I needed something fully operational, and doesn't have any problems, and that's what I'm using now. I think my tablet and phone both need a major upgrade.

metor storm tonight should be seen all over planet....I know where to look here in East Anglia and what time not sure where others look....this one going to be shooting stars every min or so

I heard about that. I won't be able to see them, because I live in a large city, but if I were in the country with nary any streetlights, it wouldn't be a problem.

We're supposed to have thunderstorms tonight. :(

That defeats the whole purpose of having universal protocols for files. It would mean everyone would have to have AOL, Gmail, Yahoo, Roadrunner, etc., in order to communicate.

Are you sure it's the email account, or do you link your photos to some kind of service that the viewer must sign up for? Or are you saving your photos in a format that is not generally accessible?

Huh? Which is the problem, email account, software, apps, or hardware? It seems all jumbled up.

I saw similar shower when lived in London so you may.
The last meteor shower we got to see clearly was when we lived in Pensacola, FL. Hubby and I set up our outdoor reclining lounge chairs, and watched without neck strain. :)

I saw one few years back in east London and much light pollution but we saw amazing storm big balls of fire looked like going to hit you but just fizzled out

These night "shows" are always past my bedtime. :( :p

I learned a few minutes ago that my son-in-law has a golf-ball size infection on his leg stump. We're praying that meds will heal it, and that he won't need further amputation. He can't use any prosthetic until it heals. :(

ouch , hope it goes all well, best to him

I had some friends that brought a box of dog cookies that where suppose to be difference flavors and the husband tasted each flavor and he said they all tasted the same . Each flavor was a difference color too. If the cookies are homemade I see nothing wrong with tasting it. I wonder if the dog like them.

hmm ok , fair enough, i have seen some peanut butter flavored biccy too at pet shop got some for my dogs too, they lke the teddy bear ones
so ya i understand. i was only teasing

I think your tech skill needs a major upgrade

Learned that computers like 3-day weekends. A database that I was extracting data from for a presentation my boss & her boss are putting together for the big boss decided to leave early for the long weekend. Luckily I did get some numbers for them before it went down.
I already knew computers don't like Mondays any more than we do.
