you'd need to copy and paste this...

Nice, speaking of England, I need to write an old friend sometimes soon, it has been too many years.

Amazing stuff... if only to see how much the place has changed.

Seeing very old footage like this in colour somehow gives it a different perspective - we are so used to seeing stuff like this in black and white.

Yeah- there were lots of colored movie clips/photos during Hitler's Europe. Late 1920s however they are very rare, though if World War II had never happened, they might not have been as rare.

Unfortunately most, if not all, of these were destroyed. I think it was some Latvian guy who invented camera with colors.

Very interesting to look at! I noticed there was mostly men on the streets, plus mostly had suit and ties with hats. Things changed big time! These double decker motor-buses role of London have been around for a really long time for sure! Hong Kong in China do have old double decker streetcars, pretty strange!

Aww... I was hoping to find the TARDIS in this video! ;)

Pretty cool!

Odd, I don't see any black smoke from vehicle's exhaust.

I'd guess that hempoline (cannabis hemp oil-gas) was used back then.

I don't recall any car's exhaust pipe smoking out the black air from 1920s or 1930s in movies though. Maybe it wasn't as advanced in guzzling gas (that is, if its not hempoline).

hempoline? Never heard of that before. Why it dont make anymore for 60's or older car?

Oh, for some reason I thought you were familiar with car stuff.

Hempoline has been used by Henry Ford himself and umm, it was probably common during 1920s and 30s, and most especially during WWII by US. government for military vehicles.

Dunno why it was outlawed, its output use doesnt increase global warming and the gas is pretty much healthy. It's probably the $$$ crap as usual.

Only know about gasoline, diesel, nitromethane, and propane. That's it. I don't really know so MUCH about 50's or older engine.

Henry Ford? Cool!

Yup, I think hemp oil is actually a biodiesel.

And yeah, I could talk about Henry Ford and his book all day long, lol, but nevermind that.

I remembered Henry do not like car with I6 (straight-6 engine). What's a pity! I6 is great for high torque and and long life than most V8.

probably a transmission issue, i guess. But then I do not really know much about cars, other than radiator mechanics and umm that i've never drove an automatic car (i'm a manual user).

yeah, Ford didn't like lots of stuff. He is quite a guy (or was...).

Yep, Too much torque for transmission.

I never like automatic transmission at all. I am manual user too.

I have never heard of Hempoline till this thread. It got me wondering why we use this biodiesel instead of oil. It's cheaper, clean, renewable, and it won't wear engine down.

Nice. Thank you for sharing with us. :)
