Looking for asl buddies to chat with, would love to get more practice in

Then that means she will probably use British sign language.

Actually, I live in Ireland. And I'm trying to learn ASL, but I'm awful at it so far.. But that's what practise is for, right? *nervous laugh*

Oh, cool. I love using american sign language. I'm very skilled with using it.

Hrm.. Maybe I should keep out until I learn enough to hold a decent conversation in ASL, then. I'm really only a beginner. :/

I think you should stay.. You'll get better if you sign with people that are really fluent in ASL.

Okay, but you might change your mind after trying to converse with me. :P

I just wanted to invite everyone to a Google+ community that was recently created, ASL Buddies. We will be having a Google+ hangout this Sunday at 8pm CST (9pm EST) to get to know each other better and have fun signing with each other. Everyone is welcome to join the community as well as our hangout this Sunday!

New to ASL

I just started an ASL college class. I am very interested in getting as much practice as possible. Is anyone interested in practicing via skype?

Hi all I have been interested in learning ASL for years. A few months ago I started trying to self teach myself the basic thru watching videos online. The problem i am having is that I have not found anyone in the are I live that knows ASL to practice with and/or learn more from. So I was wondering how the video chat group i was reading about in this thread works? Is anyone welcome to join or do you have to know a bit (as to not slow down the conversion in the group)

any info would be great

Ps I am a hearing person

We are having a few meetups in Atlanta but I think Valdosta might be too far. But if anyone wants to practice add me on Skype . sc24evr

Hey Jon, i'm the creator of that group on G+, and you don't need to have any signing ability to come join us. I made it for students who were learning to talk! We can voice and sign at the same time. Come check out the google+ link at least, even if you didn't want to join the webcam chats right away. :)

Hope to see you soon!
