What did you do today? Part II

My bestfriend just booked her flight for NYC to help me move back home. I'm looking for cheapest tickets so she can explore NYC. I want her to have an adventure, too. Not just help me move back... She's quite an amazing friend already booked her flight for January 5. I'm so thankful to have friends like her. i don't know how I'd live without her.

got to see PFH for a while, worked, and now I'm waiting for the work day to be over... not really sure if I want to go home or not... I have to... but... at least it wasn't a day spent completely in the hearing world, got a little signing time!! I'm sad I'm going to have to be leaving my mac for a few days at the apple store though :(

Very happy to read that!! It sounds like your heart is in CA. I have a feeling it will be good for your soul.

I went to work, and I will be filling out my application for a job with better hours plus leave-time.

Went to a viewing today (didn't stay for the service) for the father of a family that became a 2nd family to my oldest daughter during my husband's illness. My daughter also meet her husband through their son, whom she went to high school with. I had only met the parents a couple of times (bridal shower and wedding).

I think this makes the 6th viewing/funeral I've been to this year. I must be getting old...knowing so many people who are dying. Let's see. One was in her 90's, one was in his 80's, two were probably in their 70's, one was in his 60's and one was in his 50's. Not surprising, the only female was the one in her 90's.

Had Xmas Lunch with co-workers.

After Xmas lunch I went home and then went to the beach to go for a swim. It was so refreshing.

take plenty of pictures on your good trips back. I wish i could do that when i was in 20's. I only had experience from washington dc to florida or washington dc to Louisianna and texaS. but not in the west coast. dang!

Went to work, and church. Then I ate lunch, and went shooting with friends. We shot the .22 rifle, revolver, the SKS, Mosin Nagot, and 12I guage shotgun. We had a blast! Now time for bible study.

Did 4 hours of Christmas shopping, got my Christmas cards ready to be mailed tmw, cooked two dinners, and now watching the Cardinals game.

I spent 2 hours working on my writing. Its a nice release for me. It's almost strange to think about my childhood experiences since I repressed so much of it. But it's also therapeutic. Apperently writing is also very emotional for me. I am tired now. At least I should get a good night sleep! :)

Went to see "The Nutcracker" at the Kennedy Center, by the American Ballet Theater.

This officially starts the Christmas season for me. ;-)

It was the best, most innovative "Nutcracker" I've seen in years. Wonderful performance, different choreography, that made all the children real children, taunting, teasing, getting into mischief, and young Clara and the young Nutcracker age-appropriate sweethearts - and then they are magically transformed into an adult Princess with her Prince.

We have seen "The Nutcracker" every year for the past 10 or 11 years, and this one was by far the most innovative, charming performance.

Laughed at this:

I'm at a christmas party chock full of educated people.

Ws up until 2AM Christmas decorating...back up at 9....cooked a big family dinner....now relaxing...

I went to church, visit grandma and took a drive to the interview site , so I know where I am going  I watched my Patriots during 4th quarter and won!

Got back from the Christmas party. It was awkward at first knowing I was the only fool in the room without a college degree. Everyone else had a Bachelor's though the majority have Masters and Doctorates. Three of which are referred to as Doctor _______. One is a dentist, one a GP, one is a veterinarian. There was also a lawyer and three bankers present. Yeah, me being a chicken farmer, I felt very out of place. However, the party host himself had invited me to come earlier this week then I was prodded into it by others. If I had a degree and a good job, I probably would have felt less intimidated.

Oh, that is not too bad. They will recognize your face in case if you need some help from them. That's a good start. I am not so sure about prodding at you. If they make fun of you, then screw them off.
