Another, "I didn't do it!"

In order to believe that Cain is telling the truth, one has to believe that all 5 of these women, beginning in the late 90's with the formally filed complaints, are lying. What are the chances that all 5 women, over a span of what? 14 years? are lying? I don't think we really need to run probability stats on that one.

All 5 filed "formal complaints"? You sure?

Extremely unlikely. Yet, I reserve judgment for now. I know that his lack of experience would keep my hand away from his icon on Election Day, so it really doesn't matter to me about the end result in relation to his political career. I do want the lying party/parties to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I will not find him guilty until the court does, but it ain't looking good right now.

100% agree

These are credible women. I can't imagine what it's like to be the poor maid who got assaulted by the IMF dude.

The very fact that a man would demand a video before accepting the reports of 5 women over a period of 14 years is a disgusting show of sexism.

No, not really. The fact you would point out only a "man" would ask is a disgusting show of sexism. Also, claiming a "man" is guilty simply because women said so is a disgusting form of sexism.

Grasp at straws much?

They usually "settle" for more that $35,000.

Do you recall the tailhook convention? $6.7 million ...

Then, the $34 million settlement involving Mitsubishi Motors ...

So, in an era where all a woman had to do was report that a supervisor sexually harassed her (this was the 90's) ... why were absolutely NO FORMAL CHARGES made?

Steihaurer, you're an asshole for putting a price on rape.

Umm, we haven't really heard much from the women yet. Hopefully they will have their joint press conference and we can learn more about their claims.

The woman with the $35,000 agreement with the NRA was raped? I haven't seen that written anywhere... :dunno:

Was this settlement money a good investment?

Since these other lawsuits involved enormous corporations or US military, thay have much deeper pockets than a restaurant executive. Who knows what they asked for, before they settled.

I am troubled by your insinuation that they should have "earned" more if they had really been sexually assaulted. What is the going rate for digital penetration these days?

Did she take the money? I guess I could use your tactic and say - hey, that was how much it was worth for her ..

Her allegations did not include rape.

When you try to insult someone, put a liitle oooomph in it. Kinda like this:

You compared these Cain settlements to Tailhook and Mitsubishi Motors! Then you talk about the allegations did not include rape. You are so dug in trying to defend this guy that you are ignoring the likelihood that there is something going on here. Stop embarrrassing your fellow Right Wingers.

Cain said it was the Democrat machine that got one of the woman to speak up.
Cain made a false allegation himself ! There is no prove the Democrats are behind this . I am not a Cain supporter, but I was giving him the benefit of a doubt . I am done giving him any support. He also said there will be more women coming forward , now how would he know this?? I think that was a very damaging thing to say.

Any "fellow" right wingers embarrassed?

So far, we have a "6th" accuser right here on this forum accusing Cain of rape. Probably no formal charges there either ...

I clearly stated that it was criminal assault. How would you like some person in power to grab your nuts under the table?

Most likely he would need to move his hands first.

Nope - you said it was rape.

Now, if someone grabbed my nuts under the table, I would certainly file formal charges. I would not wait 15 years and make a press announcement while giggling about it.

That is what any "normal" person would do.

If anyone sexually assaulted my wife in such a manner, or my mother, I would certainly go after the guy who did it. Legally, of course. I would not let it slide for 15 years.

This is what happened to one woman. She met him at a restaurant, where he grabbed her crotch. When she said that she had a boyfriend, he said "Do you want a job?" You can't be much more of an asshat than that.
If he actually did that.

If he didn't do that, then what do you call him?
