Do you have a widow's peak?

I never noticed that I have a widow's peak that my mom told me me last week after i showed the picture of me and a newly girlfriend of my brother's. She loves the widows peak. I thought it looks nice on me.

I wonder where did the name came up for a widows peak? do you? :eek3:

I had to google that. Wiki says:

"The term widow's peak is from the belief that hair growing to a point on the forehead is an omen of early widowhood."

Uh oh for your husband....
:)

Yes, I have a widow's peak, same as my dad and his mother had. I wear bangs, so mine doesn't show.

Is there such a thing as "widower's peak"?

I always have my hair pulled back if my bang is too long. I am tired of bang that's how my mom told me. She knew it for long time that i had it but i didnt pay attention to it. LOL

Now I wear short, white, pointy bangs. :giggle:

In the 60's, as a teen, I wore long, thick straight bangs like hippies and Cher. You could hardly see my eyes.

In the 50's, as a kid, they were short, sometimes fringed.
