I won't go to Hell.

I used to say that as a former Christian. Allow me to ask you. What make you so sure that you will not to go to Hell? You never know whenever you will go to Heaven or not. Just because you're a Christian that does not mean you are automatically going to Heaven one day. Because you could be wrong as your fate is remains unknown. Only G-d knows.

Yes, a born-again Christian can know for sure that he or she will go to Heaven, either upon death or at the Rapture, whichever comes first.

The important thing is that the person knows for sure that he is a born-again Christian. Once a person has been saved by Jesus Christ, he or she cannot be "unsaved," meaning one cannot lose one's eternal salvation.

To say that one cannot be sure of one's eternal destination is to call Jesus Christ a liar.

Get into your Bible and READ the scriptures; especially the New Testament. You will find the answers you seek there.

Hmm... Interesting. I was told the opposite. Unless Christians may have different views. Are you sure that all Christians will go to Heaven? For real? Also, if I "am saved" then I left Christianity, therefore I can't be saved anymore?

I usually was told that Christians can't know their fates until their death, only G-d knows.

You are going to Hell. I'll pray for you.

Yikes. We are not supposed to judge one another's hearts. Only Jesus can do that. As Christians, we are called to pray for those who are lost or are backslidden, but beyond that, leave the judgment up to God.

:) don't worry about me. I am not a Christian. I was being sarcastic (Sowwie!). However, even though I am not religious, I very much agree with you about leaving judgment up to God. Unfortunately, many Christians do not do that.

I'm not going to get involved with what anyone else told you.

Like OB posted, the answers are in the Bible.

There are people who have different views.

Yes, for real.

Jesus Christ left his heavenly home for a human body and humble life on earth. He lived a sinless life, and was crucified on the cross for payment of our sins. He died, was buried, and rose again. If any person believes what Jesus said and did, and repents of his or her sins, then that person gets a new eternal life. To repent means to admit to a doing sins and wanting to turn away from the sinful life thru the power of Jesus. Jesus knows the heart, and knows who sincerely repents. If that person accepts that the blood of Jesus on the cross will pay for his or her sin debt (consequences), then Jesus immediately saves that person from a destination of Hell.

Any person that Jesus saves, is saved forever. Jesus is stronger than any force that can attempt to snatch a Christian from his hand.

We people on earth can know only about our own relationship with Jesus. I know that I'm saved but I can't speak for other people. It's up to each individual to make that decision.

Also, if I "am saved" then I left Christianity, therefore I can't be saved anymore?
I don't judge other people's spiritual status. However, I can give you the guidelines on how to decide for yourself, and leave it between you and the Holy Spirit to decide.

If a person was truly saved by repenting and accepting Jesus Christ as Savior at a specific day and time in life, then that person cannot be unsaved. The problem sometimes can be that the person was not actually saved at that time, or was saved but has strayed from Christ's path of holiness. Sometimes people think they were saved when they were very young but maybe didn't really understand what they were doing, or sometimes they go thru a very emotional experience and mistake that for salvation. There are various possibilities. If one has doubts, the best thing to do is to make a firm decision right now, and put aside the past.

If one was truly saved but is not living a Christian life, then that is something the Holy Spirit will have to convict that person's heart about. A saved person who doesn't live for Christ will still go to Heaven but will not enjoy a victorious life on earth unless he or she surrenders to Christ's lead.

In the Old Testament, we read about David's sin with Bathsheba. Because of that sin, David suffered many tragic consequences on earth. He did understand that he would still go to Heaven but he also knew that his sin hurt many people, and his testimony. It also hurt his personal relationship with God. David prayed to God to restore to him the joy of his salvation. David didn't pray that his salvation be restored--he never lost that. He prayed that the joy of his salvation be restored. He eventually did repent his sin.

I usually was told that Christians can't know their fates until their death, only G-d knows.
People can know because God shows them the way, and He keeps His promises. :)
