A Thread About Absolutely Nothing! Part II

Well - I am one who mixes up words here and there, you know, like needing knittles insteas of Knitting Needles. Well, today I managed to mix up a few words and had my son in absolute giggles enough that he had an asthma attack. Gonna finish this quickly, we have a major thunderstorm brewing. Instead of saying "Get home as quick as a herd of turtles", I said "Get home as quick as a turd of hurdles".

:laugh2:...tongue twister....whenever I'm in a hurry, I get my sons names mixed up...Hurry up, Matt...I mean Marcus...Come on! Shawn...I mean Matt...

My mother used to always call my brothers using her brother's names. So instead of Paul & Pete, it was always Gary & Bruce.

Have a minor to do at home that I have to keep an eye on. MIL is sick with a cold from her fan blowing on her all night. That's been for the last 3 days. Now, my mother is coming down with a cold from the fan in her room. MIL can afford it a heck of a lot better than my mother. I called her doc, he said to keep her hydrated and make sure she eats. If she starts running a fever, I am to call again so he can call in a prescription. She can't take aspirin, Tylenol or anything due to the Hep C and cirrhosis. For breakfast, she had 1/2 bowl of oatmeal and her juice, hot tea and water. Lunch, she had a veggie burger, no bun and about 8 tater tots with a glass of water. She has been drinking more water between and sucking on her cough drops that are permitted. The inside of the house is 82 and she's in thick winter weight socks, long sleeved shirt and a sweater under her blanket and quilt.

Hope your MIL feels better, KristinaB.

Getting ready for our road trip to Vegas! :)

MIL is beginning to feel better. It's my mother that is not and we have to keep a close eye on. Still no fever, but she is coughing more and more.

My dog ate my finger. Well he didn't really eat it but the truth is not nearly as exciting as this. He just chomped down hard then jumped back quickly. Didn't stop the pain but was nice that even in the middle of rough play he can stop quickly.

Wirelessly posted

I watched Fried Green Tomatoes for the first time this past weekend :giggle:

I think so too much work I have rest balance on otherwise! I have sleep! relax!

MIL is doing much, much better. Can now walk through the house without her cane. She still takes when we go out somewhere. Her cold is also almost gone. My mother is also feeling better. She is coughing less, and according to daughter and the neighbor (who is a nurse) lungs sound clear. Mom does admit that this short cold has taken more energy out of her than she thought and she is markedly slower than even last week. She has a check-up on 8/22 and both primary and hematologist will check everything.
