Census shows whites lose US majority among babies

Why can't we celebrate white culture as well? My daughter recently asked me that - there's African American month and Hispanic month...but no Caucasian month. Then she asked me if it was because that the Caucasian race doesn't have culture! Double standard!

i know, another problem with 'ideology' is that it carried a myth 'quaint cultures' are those belows whites are only celebrated as 'cute' and political celebrations are there to celebrate white's colonialism or empiralism, in some ways. Put differently in general terms, everyone seems to think theres no such thing as white culture. This is untrue it just havent be investigated and written down. BUt other than that, white cultures statement is and has been written down firmly in calendars...strange? hmm just my 2 cents

It is worrying and they should do 2 things
stop giving visas to rich foriegners and stop payments to non-working non-whites child support straight after their 1st baby. Follow the canadian system would be a good start.
White people dont have as much babies now not because 'there not enough time after work' it is not enough money, so why should we give them more money to support their population growth?? its not right. Esp when white solo mothers/dads are not allowed extra support when new babies comes along...
but having said all this i do realise there are all different policys from places to places and people Do fall into cracks, but the premise is that do the cuts, restrict AND do loosen up for whites because they also do falls into cracks. THis is a Racist anti-white system it has to stop.

First DC brought up Arkansas and the assumption that the folks are racist and my bringing up B.C. is to show, while he and Hill have been called worst, I doubt anyone has called him a racist eventhough he is an Ark.

Which goes to show that DC's assumption about NYC subs is incorrect. Perhaps the reason a person does not want to sit between two others is self-defense. DC's assumption is tooooooooo wide and tooooooooo generalized to assume that a white person is a racist just base on sitting in a sub.

B.T.W. Those here, DC included, who think it is ok for there to be a B.E.T. and/or all-spanish network need to explain why there is no all-asl, or at least all-c.c. 24/7 network. I 100% agrees with DC that it would be extra nice to be able to do away with the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and not need a law to make us equal but to say that means we also need to get rid of ADA for the same reason.

You have apparently never ridden in one. Any empty space is grabbed, even if one is next to former President Bush.

There are festivals celebrating Irish culture or any other European culture so isn't that the same thing? Maybe that is why there is no such thing as "white" organizations or celebrations because within us, there are so many different white nationalities such as Irish, German, Scottish, and etc? I wonder if that's the reason?

rolling7 - I don't need to explain anything to you because it's futile. You don't believe anything I say.

Doesn't make it right? Omitting it doesn't make it right either. I don't think you understand why people use air quotes.

Just like people shouldn't use the word, n-i-g-g-e-r in a quote even though it was said? We have to repeat the offensive terms because that's that we hear sometimes. If we change it, we are not just omitting it, but also changing the impact of these quotes. I'm not afraid to use these terms in quotes or discussions, I don't use these in an offensive manner. I don't call anyone by these names, they are merely used in quotes or to make a point.

Somebody actually said, "These damn ragheads are taking our jobs away" to my face. So why should I sugarcoat and replace the word with something else more... politically correct when in fact that's what was said?

When Jesse Jackson was running for president he made an Anti Semitic remark , he thought he was 'off the air' and no would hear him ! Jackson had the support of the Jewish Community , but when his Anti Semitic remark made the news Jackson lost all of that backing he would had gotten from the Jewish Community! I am glad a reporter had the guts to get this out in the public!

I am assuming you're joking.

Eh, I was just splitting hairs. What I meant was that any immigrant is technically illegal until the immigrant has papers stamped for approval to gain lawful entry.
I am glad your family immigrated here, since AD would be such a dreary place without you!

You're still wrong!

Thought I was on your "ignore" list, whatdoyousay/whatdidyousay.....I've apologized at times (several times over the year(s) if the jokes I posted are/have racist undertones... and I was sincere about it....gave me sort of a "wake up call"...and I do try and am still trying not to post anymore.....however, not everyone sees the "racist undertones"....but again, I do apologize to anyone I've offended with my corny/off the wall jokes. ....the only intention I have was to get a few laughs...but NOT at someone's expense when they thought the joke was racist.

I do not go into any other category here at AD and post offensive racist things...if I do, I appreciate being "called out", and my apology is forthcoming to that person. It is and was not my intention to stir up any racist/racial undertones....So, to YOU, if an apology is forthcoming, then you have it from me!

I have stop reading the jokes you posted. Just because everyone does not see the 'racist undertones' it don't mean they're not there! I accept your apology. Peace!

The truth is we promote racism by having double standards.

There's B.E.T - but if we wanted a White Entertainment Television, there would be riots all over the place. That's double standard. There are black frats but we cannot have white-only fraternity? Does this mean in 15-20 years, B.E.T will be considered racist and we will have...W.E.T?

Seriously? So who do you think most shows are geared to now?:hmm:

Ok, let's look at it another way. What if no black organizations exist whatsoever? What kind of society do you think we would be living in where blacks are not permitted to support themselves and protect their rights as equals? I do not believe there's a double standard to having black organizations.
I do believe it is unfortunate that we have to say the first black president, the first black woman to win an oscar for best acting. The fact that we never said that about whites proves just how racist we are. It's sad that blacks have been in America for over 300 years and it's only now there's finally a black president. or that the oscars have been around for a hundred years and it's only now that a black woman wins an award for best acting.

i look forward to the day that we don't need to point out their race when they are being recognized for the same things whites are because they're finally really equals and on par and the skin of their colour does not preface their accomplishments because it's not such an issue for whites anymore. Until we stop saying the first black anything, we're still a racist society.

What's double standards to me is white people so used to living the white way that when anyone dares to promote their own race and protect the rights of their race being equal to whites and as deserving and as entitled as to the same things as whites that they get slammed with the double standards labels.

You always speak the truth. :ty:

The link you provided doesn't even come close to answering the question. What were you trying to tell me? I sincerely would like to know, because it starts with "Seventy-seven years ago, Josephine Puccio Zangara, a young girl from Gereci, Italy, stepped out of the shadow of the Statue of Liberty and passed into the imposing brick immigration station at Ellis Island." That seems to support my contention that she needed to have paperwork done in the immigration station in order to become legal.
Of course, I could be wrong. Am I, anyone?

Beowulf, it's clear to me that you were talking about modern day immigration policies, not policies from the olden days of immigration at Ellis Island.

Legal immigrants to the USA who came thru any port during the Ellis Island period (don't forget the West Coast) had to first get permission before they even left their home countries. That permission was verified, and immigrants examined at Ellis Island (which opened in 1892).

Well, you weren't exactly wrong. Immigration was a two-step process. If either step was skipped, the immigrant wasn't legal.

What, and deny whatdidyousay! her chance to horsewhip me???

In the old days, Americans were worried that immigrants would not assimilate and that's what the public schools were for. It's the same issue today just a different group of people.
