I'm waiting to hear back from our mechanic about my window track, door hinge, and AC. I hope the AC won't be an expensive fix.

Off-topic: When we dropped off my Jeep at the mechanic's this morning, I browsed around his junk yard a bit. (Just looking thru the fence.) He had the cutest classic Nash, bright blue two-door, complete body (from what I could see). If I were someone who liked to fix up cars, I would pick that one. It's a perfect girly beach car. :giggle:

Hubby said it looked like it had a 60/40 seat.

It was older than a Rambler.

CORRECTION:

Hubby informed that it was indeed an early Rambler. He saw the name on the car.

Yeah, those Nash cars are cute. I have some pics of one at a car show I was at a couple summers ago.

for mount - consider RAM mount. it's inexpensive.

I found directions for making a mount out of a car wash sponge. That's cheap.

What is a RAM mount?
 
Yeah, I was going to suggest a RAM mount but Jiro beat me to it. I have one for my truck and use it with my GPS.
 
I was thinking you could try this - attach RAM mount to metal poles from passenger's headrest and put camera on it.

It will be something like this -

I recall that you bought a video camera as a gift for your hubby and it is rail mounted. Perhaps install rail mount on your headliner? :hmm:

try exploring around this site. many cheap stuff. I bought handful from it. only drawback is that shipping time can be quite long depending on what you buy - http://www.dealextreme.com/

Cute. My grandparents had a Nash Rambler with those colors (red and white) but it was a later model, more boxy. They also had a toy car that matched, and they kept it on the back shelf of the car. :lol:

My RAM mount is really hard to dislodge. I've taken it offroading. It sticks like white on rice.

I saw some that mount on headrests but I don't know if I want something next to my head.
