Jeep gone

Lots of things will. They have to be easily accessible in an emergency. Easy to see and grab.

I agree. no point in NOT being prepared. I rather be over prepared and nothing happens than not being prepared when something happens.
always remember MURPHY'S LAW!!!

I am so glad you are allright. I was not here much till today and saw this. I am grateful you are still alive and unhurt. I am sorry about your jeep. oh boy.
Thank you very much. :)

Yesterday, I put the new floor mats in. The old ones were too nasty. The new ones are cheap ones I got on Ebay. They're good enough for now.

After, TCS installed my foot chock. Now I will be able to ride comfortably. :)

the carpet type? or rubber?

what's a foot chock?

A little rubber covered block to rest your left foot on.
Correct. We improvised our own from a regular automotive chock. TCS bolted it to the floorboard. It is most comfortable, especially since I have short legs. I can rest my foot and leg while driving instead of dangling it. :giggle:

ooooo gotcha. :ty: glenn too.

Perhaps I should bolt my hockey puck onto it! :giggle:

What's up with button starter? semi-truck styles?
That was in my late, great Jeep. I don't know why it was installed; that's the way it was when I bought it. I would turn the key in the ignition, then push the button to start the engine.

my truck has same thing if I don't use my clutch pedal.

I'm going to guess why your Jeep has same feature as mine. This is common especially for offroad vehicle. when your car stalled out on certain incline/decline where you can't change gear or you'll risk rolling out... push-start button is a safe bypass for that while your gear is engaged.

Yep, clutch start cancel switch. It's handy to start on steep slope without rolling backwards and having to rev the engine too much.

:ty: I think it is a good buy. It's not perfect but I think I got my money's worth, and kept it within the insurance allotment.

Now I'm totally monochromatic. Black terp clothing, salt 'n' pepper hair, gray Jeep....

Salt'n'pepper hair and you're older than me? My hair is nearly completely gray and I'm not even 45 yet!

On the other hand, people describe my hair as silvery gray.

In my avatar I am wearing back dye. It hasn't completly washed out but my hair is now more gray than black.

My white hairs are mostly in the front, especially my bangs. The rest is "sprinkled" lightly throughout.

Reba, you don't look 'short' in your photos, at least the ones of your younger days.

I don't use a foot chock in spite of being short and honestly never even heard of them until now. I just wedge my knee into the door a bit to take the pressure off my hip. People don't realize how short I am until they get in the drivers seat of my truck. My mechanic whined about it today while looking at my idiot light, LOL.

I'm 5'3" tall.

The chock foot rest is very comfortable. :)

I'm glad it is all coming together and working out for you.

Yesterday, I spent a couple hours cleaning all five seat belts/harnesses, from one end to another, and completely drying them before retracting them.

Finally, I think every square inch of the interior (glass, plastic, fabric, metal, whatever) has been cleaned. No stickiness or suspicious stains anywhere. It smells a lot better, and I don't feel creeped out when I sit in the Jeep or put on the seat belt.

I got a cheap dash camera. I'm paranoid about accidents now. It won't stop one but at least I can have a record of it. I'm working on the best way to mount it. I don't want a permanent mount. I found a couple ideas at instructables.com that I might try.
