Something wrong with this picture?

I've seen this at least 3 times on my FB feed:

"NO ONE will get this right! My middle name__________, my age___, my favorite soda_______, my full birthday___,who's the love of my life______ , my favorite color______, my eye color_______,my hair color______ my favorite food________and my moms name__________! !! Put this as your status and see who knows you ...:)"

Then in the comment section, people would try to fill in the blanks.

Middle name? Birthday date? Mom's name? Is it just me or is this prime material for ID theft?
 
It's better for anyone who wish to sign up a FB or other forums should fill up all fake information. It is better and safe. It's only way for you to put your real photo so that they would know you which is a good enough. And, especially avoid the tele-market on the FB. Don't you expect that the FB promises you not to reveal your info on tele-market? FB and Google WILL do anything for money without your knowledge.
 
I had the same thoughts when I saw it. Perfect way to distribute personal information for ID theft.
 
It's sad that people actually fall for this.

If I were in a perverse mood, here's what I'd write in the blanks: notyerbuzinez, 200, hemlock (the drink that socrates drank) koolaid, june 6 1906/6-6-06 or even 6-6-6, Jason Voorhees, black, red, nightshade berries and Diane Downs.

Can you guess who that is? (This is real information grin)

Kind of hard when it's a tradition for a family a middle name is synonym for the given name. And yes, I do have a first name, and it grinds my gear when people use it.

Yeah, same thing with my father middle name.. my father hate it in a big time and I was so glad that we didn't use his middle name to pass on next family generation. Poor dad.....

My dad's first and middle names were originally family last names. He hated his name. As soon as he left home as a teen, he started using his two initials instead. During his adult life, there were many people, such as co-workers, who never knew his real names.

He didn't pass on his first or middle names to anyone in our family. :D

My son is the 7th generation with the same first and last name. All of them have different middle names. FIL's father did not even have a middle name.

Obama? The middle name is a dead give way. But I fail to see why your post is better unless you're one of those anti obama guys.

What about the average man? Haven't you ever been asked these simple questions to verify your identity: "What is your date of birth?" "What is your mother's maiden name?"

From my FB, one person actually responded the WHOLE name of the mother of the person who posted that.

I'm not anti Obama, but the point is that giving his ID to someone, there's no way for anyone tried to hack to his account because of his security have been beef'in up.

So, that is why no matter how to give his ID to anyone. I wouldn't!!
