Deaf Teacher Terminated in Public School..

Ugh. The school said that she had awful interpersonal skills?! The administrators are worse. I hope she hires a lawyer to protect herself. She doesn't deserve this.
 
Thank you, Glenn. It sound familiar when I tried to remember where the Deaf teacher being terminated because of her deafness in another thread which is in Deaf news.

Of course they are never going to admit to firing because the teacher is deaf....they will find other reasons.

I agree. She should hire a lawyer, to fight that she wants her job back. I wish her the best of luck!

one did use her speech and hearing.. still was being harrassed over a test.

This one used ASL... and was being harrassed for using an interpreter.

Sad.

are you referring to the Carrolton teacher who invited a reporter to her classroom?

If you are, the settlement is that she is back to teach the classroom- at different school.
 
Yeah, it sucks. The administrators are cruel. They think they know everything because they said that they have been in education for 20 years or so. Unfortunately, it is still happening.
