What are you thinking about? Part II

Thanks, Dixie girl! I actually finished in March. I just didn't mention it until shel asked just now. But yeah, I am actually pretty proud that I accomplished it after raising my kid and returning to school at an advanced age!

BTW...how's school going for you?

It is going well gradewise, but financially IDK. They have raised tuition and fees to the point that I am not sure if I will have enough money saved up by August to go. I hate it when they raise tuition. I took the summer off to let my body recuperate a bit, but now it looks like I may have to take at least one semester off.

Wow...that sucks. Tuition hikes are the pits! Are you getting all the financial aid you are entitled to?

I dont qualify for a lot of it. I don't carry enough hours to be enrolled full time, and not only that even though I have full custody of my daughter, my parents are claiming her on their taxes, instead of allowing me to claim her, which means I don't get to apply/qualify for those single parent funds.

I don't think it is legal for them to do that when you have custody.

Dang. I'm sure that you don't want to go into the loan stuff, and I understand why, but did you know that if you teach in an underpriviledged area for 10 years, and make payments on time during that period, all your loans will be forgiven?

I'm not sure ATU-Russellville is a part of that program. I know there is one for the State level, but my Eng Ed. major isn't one of the subject areas covered, it is mostly for the math and sciences.

Wouldn't mind having one myself right about now. As for what I am thinking...I can't say. All I can say is :eek3: People never cease to amaze me!

I am thinking I need one now!

Yeppers. I am now officially Dr. Jillio.:giggle:

Congratulations Jillio!! That's an awesome title :) I think you can ask Alex to officially change your sn to Dr. Jillio :) Go get a massage girl! Make sure he's hot:naughty:

Shel and Dr. Jillio one of the massage therapy students practiced a 50 minuate massage on me. The student was a guy, I was soaking up every minute of that session having some guy press on the pressure point and massaging my muscles ahhh it was bliss!! I looked like this :D lol

Well.. today is my last day of being a "Mrs."

It feels surreal and I have a lingering knot in my throat, but I am eager for a brand new chapter to unfold. I went to several parks, a coffee cafe, Chinese restaurant, and a pond with my son today lol. Now I will be alone for most of the weekend and I'm trying to distract my mind...

... not going very well o.O

 welcome to freedom

I will admit that it will be very strange for a while. You will have to meet the day an take a deep breath and blow out all the negativity that went with your marriage. It will take time but will feel better in the long run.

Hells I still celebrate my 'freedom anniversary', the date of my divorce was finalized 11-15-05

I've never celebrated either anniversary. However the first anniversary that went by, post divorce, I took our wedding cake out of the freezer and burned it in a bonfire with a bunch of other stuff from our marriage.

LOL that works too...ya got rid of negativity!

yup. that was a horrible marriage, I was nothing but a punching bag emotionally, physically, and verbally. It was just awful. And even now the lingering effects of that time are still there.

Haha yes, I will be marking June 19th as "Independence Day" on my calendar :giggle:

I should probably do that!!!.. but I didn't have a wedding, hence no cake to burn  maybe next time I should have a wedding? Minus the divorce, wasted cake, and bonfire lol. Heck, forget the wedding and buy some cake now.

I understand that. My ex was an emotional & mental abuser. When I left w/ our son, he had a 'nervous breakdown'. And was diagnosed ultra rapid cycle bipolar. I still have trust & security issues with my boyfriend. But we work through it together.

The divorce was short and sweet (6 months and 1 day, the minimum in California) because I asked for NOTHING (not even child support, alimony, nor a single item from the house). His cousin (who is his roommate at the moment) did hand me a crockpot that I received as a gift, it was more symbolic than anything because even his family knew how greedy my ex was. Whelp, my ex FREAKED out a few months later and threatened to call the authorities if I did not return the crockpot.... ((blinks))

Yes, I did return it because I did not need the added drama (it is a freakin' crockpot after all). I was homeless for a while but karma definitely bit him in the butt and now I'm more well off than he is! :giggle:

I don't think I could bring myself to waste a perfectly divine cake!

.. and that would be to eat the perfectly divine cake! :eek3:

At least now you can have your cake and eat it too! Or burn it or share it or bury it or anything else youd want to do with it!:D
