Success!!! We got my router and my netbook to connect wirelessly.
My son is currently on the netbook wirelessly on the internet and I am on desktop with the cable plugged into it.
It works!!
Got my techie help from Nathan!!
Awesome! Glad to hear that resetting and reconfiguring worked for you!
It's always great to have someone to walk you through, rather than, "Do this, do that, and you should be good to go"

He logged is through TeamAssist and did the work. It was freaky watching my little netbook do these things without me touching it.![]()

Yeah, I know what you mean, it is pretty much like sending your PC to another site and have them fix the problem instead of waiting for somebody to come down to your place and take 5 minutes to fix. It is cool and yes I do this on regular basis to help Deafies fix their modem/router. It is very important for you to pay attention because you could learn from it and ensure that the person isn't doing something else as intended.
... Wait, was this when the netbook was plugged in via wire or what? O_o;
Doing remote support through wireless can be tricky. (ESPECIALLY if you've got a wonky wireless connection like you were having.)
I had taken the cable from the desktop and plugged it into the netbook so he could do it. After he finished, I was connected to the wireless and disconnected the cable and it was still working. Cable went back into the desktop. The kids have used the netbook all day with no problems and son has his PSP working through the wireless now as well.

TeamAssist? Hrmmm Never heard of this remote software before.
Did you mean TeamViewer? - TeamViewer - Free Remote Access and Remote Desktop Sharing over the Internet
.

I did mean TeamViewer. My brain is scrambled.
That is what I thought, it is nice remote assist software, best for just friend to friend. Yes, I have tested it But not for businesses that do remote assist all the time, I prefer other one and it is not cheap nor free.
I knew I could trust Nathan so that's why I wasn't too worried. At least I was able to download a free version of it. Yes, Nathan does have my password that I set up, but like I say - I trust him to not use it "willy-nilly" whenever he wants to.
