Thanks.....this just makes my Uncle's fight all the more depressing. I found out about Janice in Sept. Then My Uncle in Oct. I truly believe that bad things come in 3's. 2 out of three have been close people getting diagnosed with terminal cancer. I don't think I can deal with another.

I lost all 4 with cancer in one year including my dad with renal failure in 2006. It's tough. I was here for awhile then I had to be away for awhile then I came back. Talking about it here and with your family and friends helps. Btw, I'm very sorry about your Uncle.
 
i am thinking my ex is a A$$HOLE. He tried blame me for my sons failing grades this semester. I had no clue about that he didn't get his homework & class assignments done. Since Demetri (my son) was telling me that he was completing his homework at school. So he (My ex Dennis) decided to ground Demetri from having his weekends with me. Legally he can't do this, but he wanted to totally ground Demetri, and punish me at the same time. But since the school send home daily progress reports, there shouldn't be any blame on me. I am not the custodial parent.

Thanks. right now he is doing ok. But it is obvious that he's not going to be able to fight it off like he did with his first bout with lung cancer a couple of years ago.
 
Thinking also ( on a good note ) cause I am not sure if I told you all. I looks like I will be able to get into the ITP by possibly next semester. I need a couple of more required classes to be considered. But I might be able to take them during the summer session, then transfer. I will be consulting with a college counselor at Nassau Community College to figure out the "how's" & "whatnot's" of getting thing accomplished lol!

you should tell the father that you will take care the disipline when he come over. But right now, he has no rights to keep him from your son.

My friend who is a straight A's student. Her mother told her that if she got less than a C's then her scedule at home will be the parent's decision. (that is homework straight after school, tv at certain time, bedtime at certain time... etc.) But if she got Straight A's... she can pick when she want to watch tv, do homework, etc. Although, all homeworks must be done right and completed and she can't stay up no later than certain time.

Right now I agree on the grounding of no video games, computer and such. Which means that Demetri can't come to where I work on the weekends I have him cause I work at a local gaming store/internet cafe called The Game Table (Shameless Plug! ;P )
 
I'm thinking about how much easier my life would be if I had a solutions manual to one of my textbooks. The book has no examples...

My daughter's math books are the same way. I get so frustrated sometimes because I had forgotten how to do some of the figures in 7th grade Algebra and I look to the textbook for examples only to find none. :roll:

:shock: Congrats to them! It makes me think about how I really should be watching my intake of junk food on the weekends.

I feel the same too. I think I have relapsed into my old habits in the past 2 weeks. Need to get back to working out starting tmw!

Same here. I used exams as an excuse, but now they're over so I need to get back into my routine.
