Whew, thank goodness I am ADDICTED to driving.

I have 650 miles (at least) to travel during the next few days.

((nibbles on chocolates and cranks up the volume))

I drove 800+ miles in one day. Try beating me with 1000 miles in a day, lol. No cheating!

Had a nice visit with my brother and his date at that fancy house. My daughter was shocked and upset that one closet was nothing but fur coats/jackets. I mean real fur. I was drooling over them while my daughter was looking at me with disain. LOL!

Ha! baby stuff. Did Dallas to LA straight thru solo
.......Not sure in miles but it took about 23 hours

Also drove straight thru to Ft Lauderdale from Dallas. I did all the driving but I did have 2 passengers that trip.

Drive Dallas to Ruidoso (570) about 10 times a year

I love driving too - thank god for my new car :aw:

Scratch that, make that 800 miles over the next several days.

FYI, this is casual driving to and from errands. It is not a road trip (I drove to Chicago in a couple of days before, huge difference) so I will be one tired chica! :P

800 miles in a day? did that handful of times per year. took me just 7-8 hrs from NJ to VA and vice versa.

Well....driving thru the plains and rolling hills is nothing....try that with tons of mountains and roads to slow you down a lot...that's why.

Let me know next time when you try driving 800+ miles in a day from California to Utah, with lots of mountains and hills to deal with....it slows you down a lot.

I've driven from Oklahoma City to California. I've driven from Washington State to Missouri while driving a 1956 Ford. That was an interesting trip. Flew back 2 weeks later and drove my car on same route. I've driven from California to Texas. I've driven from Kansas to Canada and back to Texas one week later. I've driven from Washington State to California and back. I've driven to South Dakota from Texas and back. Also did another trip from Texas to Wyoming and back. Did all those trips nonstop.

Nonstop? You drove without stopping for gas or a rest stop or a bathroom break? I think you're crazy.

I used to do those now

Now I want to follow the harvest of cherries and apples and peaches and melons and grapes and all the the great vegetables and find where possible those extra good trees that have varieties that are never seen in the grocery stores but taste better than anything there. I want to eat an Arkansas melon so big it fills up the trunk of a car. I want to take my mountain bicycle along and stop and ride around and be that hard of hearing guy asking where the good food is and the used bookstore and hit the farm auctions too along the way.

Okay, obviously I stopped for gas and bathroom break which I would do both while on the stop and then head on down the road. However I did not stop for rest on those trips mentioned above.
