Miracle baby is run over by train and survives - watch the video

I've heard about this all over the news, it was truly a miracle that the 6 months old survived even through the video was so terrifying to see.

I know it's a honest mistake, hope she learned her lesson and put the brakes on the stroller next time.

I can understand how yizuman felt about the mother, people at my work were talking about this too, and some of them judged the mother, had said that she shouldn't have took her eyes off her 6 months old baby, the stroller should have put on brakes, or she should had held onto the stroller when waiting for the train, because every train shakes the ground as it passes.
 
I guess God do really have a reason for that baby to live somehow...
 
It was so scary! Like everyone said that was a honest accident mistakenly. I am sure tht she learned the HARD lesson to put a brake on from now on. That kind of stroller is pretty heavy that makes the wheel movement. Thank god the baby is alive.

If you look at the video, she let it go for only a few seconds - you don't expect the pram to scroll away that fast. You always hold the pram at all times and put brakes on them all the time? I don't think so.

Stop being so judgmental and be grateful that a simple mistake, clearly unintentional, did not end the baby's life.

Why do other people always jump onto conclusion before thinking??!!!! The mother sure didn't want to put her child into that kind of danger!!! This simply was a VERY infortunate incident and everybody should be happy the child is safe with only a bump!

After all the baby was strapped into the pram!

:mad2: at the people judging the mother. But she sure won't forget about brakes in the future!!! She learnt the lesson, get over it... She is the one who has to live with her mistake for the rest of her life!

Yup, agreed.

I cannot understand about some members are upset at mother, also it was happened in UK but I have no idea about any penalty will be held for similar situation in US.

I'm sure God forgive her for her mistake. :) I feel pretty bad for the mother cos she thought she lost her child for real and she felt so fool. At the least, she'll be more careful next time.

I agree with Netrox and JamieLynn....sometimes, mothers forget that they didnt have the brakes on or thought they had the brakes on only to find out they werent on. I think this mother will have to deal with replaying this horror in her mind every night before she goes to sleep. I caught my daughter when she was 2 years old on top of a high wire fence after just taking my eyes away from her for less than a minute and my mind kept tormenting me every night. It took me a long time to recover. This situation is much much much worse so I cant imagine the torment the mother will have to go through.

I'll admit my horrible story to make you feel better. I am guilty for I accidentally sat on my a-few-weeks-old brother on a couch..... cos I sometimes forget I HAVE my brother since I was used to have only one sister for more than ten years. :( Until about less than a few months to get me knowing that I have my new sibling...... I was very caution after that accident until my brother was now old enough. I still can't make myself to forget about it..... I felt so horrible, too.................... :( I, maybe, think I understand where you and the mother are from. :hug:
 
WTF!?

She should have taken a few seconds to look at her cart as she let go.

That's what I always do when I am pushing a cart or baby stroller in a place like the bus stop, state fair, amusement park, zoo, etc.

Also, I stand between the line (bus line, train line, subway line, etc) and the baby. So, I'm like a guard in that case.
 
It's easier for us to stand by and criticize the mother because we aren't in her shoes.
 
These kind of things can happen to anyone, no parent ALWAYS does everything right. As a parent you can't prevent everything bad from happening or keep your child in a bubble. Accidents do happen. Parents should make sure that they don't repeat the same mistake ;)

I would bet that this mom would do her best to never leave the stroller without brakes again.

it looks like the ground is at slanted position. that's why in NYC - we have a foot-long block of raised dots at the end of platform. It's useful for blind people to know where to watch out.
 
IF i have my own children somedays i would brake that stroller they not let away..

Thankness Godness for baby got survives and nobody got killed or hurt!!

she's a dumbass cause she's human. It appears she just didn't see it coming so...I'm pretty sure she didnt mean to let that happena at all and the baby is definitely VERY lucky to be alive.
