Hadron Collider Physicist Admits He Was Al-Qaeda Mole - World News Summaries | Newser
Investigators do not believe his work at the Hadron Collider on the Swiss-French border, the world's largest particle accelerator, was part of his terror planning.
I find this more worrisome than some possible black hole:From the same source
I have read the book Jiro and it sounds awfully similiar. Doesn't it?
If they ever do succeed I would hate to see a tiny drop come out of it all.

Okay, can someone please explain what Hadron Collider will do ? I am not sure, if I can understand the whole picture. :-\
I've provided a source before. here it is again - CERN - The Large Hadron Collider
I read, but still I don't get the whole picture what it does. Care to explain in English... exactly what it does ?
Right but to keep it in context the Investigators do not believe his work at the Hadron Collider was part of his terror planning. Agreed it is scary. If anything I suppose he could foil the experiement to the tune of millions of dollars or perhaps destroy the facility but the investigation did not suggest that.I find this more worrisome than some possible black hole:
"French officials believe the Stanford University Ph.D. was being groomed to become the 'pivot' of a terror campaign starting in France but possibly spreading to other European nations."
As I understand it the colliders can be used for many experiments. The particular one in question is where they are trying to recreate the conditions just after the big bang. There are some that believe if they are successful, they could potentially be creating another big bang which could have catastrophic results. Supporters say that what they are doing at the LHC facility is not on a scale that could cause any harm and that the mini black holes that will be created will evaporate as quickly as they are created. They are also stating that the types of collisions they are doing happen naturally in space all the time on a much larger scale. So yes it's a controversy. The problem if I understand correctly is that much of what they believe will happen is based on theory. We don't have the laws of physics mastered yet.nobody does either. Only the genius![]()
Simply put - it's just one big expensive experiment to test the old physic theory that may or may not give us a clue about space - crashing 2 atoms (or something) together. that's all.
no bomb, no doomsday, nothing. it's all bunch of silly paranoid ideas by people who do not understand it.
