And 4 more days to go until the ASL NIGHT!![]()

Oh, I see that you are not meeting the Deaf family from USA in four days for the ASL FILM NIGHT. I don't remember seeing the ASL movie and that is a rarity for an ASL movie. The only films we go for social is mostly in open captioned or subtitles, but that was many years ago. I have not attended one for years now.![]()

You just confused yourself!
I'll explain, on the 16th of June, the deaf american family came to Australia about one week before that, and was told they want to meet deaf people in my hometown, and the father of the family was a friend of my interpreter's husband's friend (who is the brother) and I was invited as well so I went there and met them, had dinner with them. The kids told me that they are hosting the ASL FILM night on thursday, where they will show the film "Legend of the mountain man" and the family will be there too.![]()

They have enjoyed last night as well. Kudos to these people who made this film a total success and high popularity views with in the australian deaf community! The movie was captioned so it is easy for them but I watched it with the ASL at the same time.Sound great! Did some deaf viewers understand to watch it in using ASL?

I am glad that you all have wonderful time watching the movie.
i have very sensitive eyes - i see well in the dark when i watch the movie lolI knew that the movie was captioned, but that is interesting to know that you have to see the other person doing the ASL for the movie. Only question is how can you be able to see the ASL in the dark for the movie?I am glad that you all have wonderful time watching the movie.
