Thought we were talking recently, and not necessarily Presidential candidates. Just happens that the 2 repubs this week were being considered for 2012.
 
If we are going to limit the category, here is a list of Presidents known to have engaged in extramarital affairs:

Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Martin Van Buren, James Garfield, Stephen Grover Cleveland, Warren G. Harding, FDR, Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson, Bill Clinton.

Not sure I understand the question. My post was in reference to everyone.

Conservatives generally define themselves.

I mean, "what is a conservative?"

That thing - that really gets me is the way some people think just... because, oh no, you're a conservative, and you're instantly some crazy and hateful person, ignorant, religious fundamentalist who goes about waving those picket signs all day! That is not original meaning of conservative. It means, "one who adheres to traditional methods or views." ... Sighs.

You have just defined a conservative, then. Problem is, those who call themselves conservative, but do not have the ability to live up to the standards they set for everyone else.

Disagreeable. The word already has a meaning definition for conservative.
