When you watch movies for the first time, do you leave when the ending credits begin or do you stay through (or fast forward) through the ending credits?

The reason for asking is because some movies have something extra after the ending credits.

Here are a few...

Cloverfield
- There was weird sound that when played backwards... it reveals a secret message.

Matrix Reloaded
- There was a preview of Matrix Revolutions.

The Incredible Hulk
- There was a cutscene involving the general and Stark revealing clues to another upcoming movie.

Iron Man
- The cutscene here was similar to the one from The Incredible Hulk revealing another upcoming movie.

I gotta wait until the credits are done. Just never know if i'm going to miss something or not. I hate to hear this line: "awww, man you shoulda stayed till the end of the credits! they showed __________".

There were times when there are extras on the end of the credit, some people stay so they can watch the extras or some stay because they want to know the name of the actors or the person who make the movies, productions etc...

Here is another example of this:
X-Men: The Last Stand
-People thought Professor Charles Xavier is presumed dead killed by Jean Grey. At the end he was very much alive.

That's a good example. :)

Every movie that I rent, I always fast forward through the ending credits. I will turn on the timer display before fast forwarding so that I can watch the number count down. If it goes all the way down to 00:00:00 and nothing happens, I know there's nothing there and I can move on. :)

Jackass the Movie.... hiliarious!

Some Jackie Chan movies ... show how the stunts gone wrong during the ending credits.

Hubby and I really enjoy the ending of movies because they show versions and scenes that's cut out of movies.

Take Jackie Chan! He's famous for doing his own scenes & making mistakes.

Normally I'd leave at the end of the credits but sometime they show some spoofs/bloopers at the end of the credit which is why I make sure I don't miss anything.

But other than that, I just leave and wouldn't worry about the end of the credits, ha. :)

I stay thru the credits; I like to know who is in the movie, where it was made, etc.

they have credits there so we know who else was involved in the film making, does any one know a person or 2 who works with the film industry, say, as a make up artists? or as a script writer or as a camera crew, or even as a back stage attendant? stuntperson? an animal handler? clothing supervisors , sponsoring negotiator(s) accountant, attorney, fuck the list goes on, all these people are involved not just cocksuckers like george clooney or asslickers like meryl streep. geeez they are overpaid, overrated they arent just film makers, just merely actors, more so not just producers (owners) or directors (now i DO appreciate their work and differing styles of threading together shots and story in the script....but theres more than just their contribution nonetheless... and whys the hell are they so fucking spoilt for attention and or fame/fortune (but one might see they are puppets to the even greedier/richer producers (like George Lucas, greedy git) is beyond me.

oh for comedys they do attach 'add ons' to credits since 'its fitting' to throw in some slapslick there and here, not just to extend the comedy factor but since comedy 'is not as serious as an say epic or drama (research-wise its not as elaborated' than say films like Valkriye for example) they want to retain the audiences attention to the credits. In similarity, this rubbed off on to other genres like horrors or actioners (the baddies is still alive, or to hint the serial of this horror as the evil is not done yet with the killing deeds), it is a clever ploy to attach 'cheap advertising right in the spot at the very end of the film, rather than prime TV 'expensive air time' whereas the range of audience is too broad.

blah

do i watch credits? sometimes i do, but i normally fast forward in case theres the easter eggs, but also depending on the film, if i am intrigued with amount of 'authenticity' id be very interested in what sort of research (and how , where) took place in developing the film narrative's background.

I'm not actually watching the credits, I'm chatting with friends up until something "pops up". If nothing does, that's cool too. At least i won't have that nagging feeling that i've missed something.

If you guys ever watched "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" at the very end they have a whole bunch of alternate endings for the storyline and the characters. They even show you what happened to the wife/family of the henchmen that got run over by a steamroller or had his head eaten off by the mutated seabass, respectively.
