Marijuana

she has been banned...*sighs*

somebody passes me the blunt dammit. i might be able to communicate with her telepathically :laugh2:

I'm sorry but are you a licensed psychologist? or psychiatrist? I don't think you are qualified to say that. beside - none of scientific studies have said anything like yours. please stop inventing things.

I'm not a psychiatrist or psychologist and I'm not inventing anything. I've seen it happen. Common sense, folks. You don't need a Ph.D. or a Psy.D. to see that you can become addicted to anything.

I don't want to point fingers but some people get the negative conception of marijuana. It may be due to all the stuff you're taught through school and from your parents+kin that drugs are bad, friends, but marijuana has its medical uses and that is why the topic is so controversial.

Marijuana is known to destroy cells due to the inhaling of fumes, inhaling any fumes is detrimental to the cell production in your nasal and lung passageways.

But that is not my point, and that's about as far as it does negative. And its not even that bad when the benefits exceed destroying cilia cells. Marijuana has shown positive effects in various forms of medical usage... There isn't much "solid" stuff backing it up, but if the people feel a lot better with it personally, its their choice.

This is going to be a an "idiotic question" but how can you tell if you are blind? :)

actually yes you do need ph.d or psy.d to make a statement like that. common sense and medical sense are completely different. just because 1 + 1 = 2 doesn't mean "it's just the way it is." you need to be an expert to make that statement to establish the link and such. you do not have an extensive understanding in addiction, therefore you are not qualified to say such thing.

Again - scientific & medical studies have shown NO SUCH studies of linking marijuana to addiction. Please show me otherwise.

Marijuana has a pretty distinct smell. I can smell when people are smoking it. I can also hear the sound of people inhaling the smoke and passing around the joint. Blindness does not mean oblivion.

I can show you otherwise. My dad, my brother, people in my school.

Yes, it needs to be legalized and taxed...there is a high demand for it.

Indeed.

The problem is - There are a lot of politics involved in this. They will argue and to claim that marijuana is not safe. Sure, Marijuana may have it's own complications but it is no different than any other substances that are held out there.

What they don't realize is - It can be maintained and enforced but however, the question is - Just exactly how can it be met on a medium and/or a common ground?

destroy cells due to the inhaling of fumes.... hmm... yep.. in city - there are probably over 100 unknown fumes I have inhaled such as fume from car exhaust pipe, sewer, kitchen, lighter, computer, second-hand smoking, overpowering perfume, fart, bad breath, dog poop, bum squats, dirty laundry, etc. etc. etc. etc.

2 words - pharmaceutical companies. they spent millions, if not - billions, to lobby and to shape public view on marijuana. As you can see - they were incredibly effective at this.

actually yes you do need ph.d or psy.d to make a statement like that.

We're using two different definitions of "addictive." You're talking about the kind of addiction that is at the neurotransmitter level, how a drug affects the nervous system, etc. I'm talking about a psychological addiction, an attempt to numb psychic pain.

Just like you don't need to be a Ph.D. to see someone is an alcoholic, you don't need a Ph.D. to see someone is addicted to marijuana.

I can show you otherwise. My dad, my brother, people in my school.

My dad and several of my family members are alcoholics...should alcohol be illegal as well? I guess it should be since it screws up many lives.

Yes, They were very effective on this but yet, I find this ironic because over and over again, I see that marijuana itself has had a lot of positive feeds. Yet, the pharmaceutical companies are the one that is trying to prevent it to be legalized because money talks. If marijuana is legalized, the pharmaceutical companies will lose a lot of money as well.

Making something illegal won't stop people from using it. Murder is illegal but it still happens.

again - sorry but you are not qualified nor medically-knowledgeable to make that statement. I can see someone is alcoholic but I am not qualified to determine the scientific explanation of addiction

I'm not determining any scientific explanation of addiction. That is exactly where you are misunderstanding me. I am saying that it is visible in people's behavior. That is the only level of addiction I'm talking about here, the level that is easily observed by friends and family members (whether or not they happen to be a mental health professional.)

bingo. marijuana... probably the only drug that is effective with no side effect for bunch of illnesses. obviously - this does not bode well for pharmaceutical companies.

Right, that was my point so why not legalize marijuana and tax it to get America out of debt and boost this economy?
