As you know, Every year, the number of the year changes. Today, It dawned on me when I was at work and I jotted down 01/02/08 on the paper instead of 01/02/09. At that point, I was like - Err *marking off 08* and put 09 on it.

It always happens to me every year when I have to correct myself to write down the correct year, LOL! As for me, It takes a couple of days to get myself in the sync to make it a habit to write down the correct year, not the previous year.

When will you realize you are writing 2008 instead of 2009?

this happens to me whenever i braille dates on my bill statements and money orders. usually it takes me the entire month of january before it finally dawns on me that we are in a new year.

LMAO I do that all the time esp in Jan. I just was doing some job applications and I just unconciously wrote 1/2/2008 instead of 1/2/2009. Someone noticed me doing that and reminded me it wasnt 2008.

Gotta get used to writing 2009 over and over :)

Funny is I never write as 08 or 09 I always go for either 2008 or 2009. I had been doing that since the 2000's began. Before that I always wrote the dates as 88, 98, 99, 95, etc then when the 21st century hit me, it began to be like 2000, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010.

It usually takes me 2 weeks to realize Im not in 2008, Toto :)

Once I go back to work on the 5th. I will start writing dates.

I'm sure I will make some errors on the date for about two Weeks or so.

I still can not believe it is 2009. Geez! Time flies!

It usually take a month each new year before I remember the change.

I don't have that problem as in my line of work--there is no room for errors.

Especially when dealing with finances. It's a conscious effort.

oh yeah when i was doing deposit in my bank i did 08 but the bank teller remaind me that it was 09 now i go oh man LOL hehe

it happens to me once a year when it changes :)

Yes, it recently happened to me sending off my bills dated 12/08 lol oh well, sure it will get cashed regardless :giggle:

Heh heh! Yep, it does happen to me. Pfft! :-P I still keep trying to remember I'm in 2009, not 2008. Haha XD

 I haven't started it just yet, but thanks Jolie for keepin' me an eye what I will write. Heh heh

I did wrote a check on the 30th of Dec, 2008 to pay my bill, it was the last time I had written down the year 2008. This morning I didn't forget it is a new year 2009 at work. I had written a several lost n' found items at work, all were dated correct. Hopefully the next time I write a check, I will remember it is 2009. It did happened to me years ago that all the checks I wrote was a year old, oops, but they did cashed it anyways...

I already sent out my bills twice before I left for Costa Rica, which I am staying for 4 weeks. (Wow.. It's already a week and a day, time flies... )

haha I do forget that it's not 08 anymore. Now that it is 09 for a whole nother year. But My mom was writing a check for something i forget, and I was talking to her as she writes the paycheck.
Me: Can't you believe its not 2008 anymore? It still feels like 2008 even though its not.
Mom: Doh! You almost made me write down 2008!
Me: laughs.

I was at work yesterday and I wrote down the date 1/2/09 so there. I remmy.

Another thing is when woman get married and she had to remmy that she changed her last name. I know I made a mistake for writing the wrong last name. LOL

Haha, I remember when I was married before - It took me a while to get used to write down the correct last name.

So, yeah, it's like when you're not really thinking about it and you just write it out of habit, heh.

It often takes me 2 months :D I have yet to write the date wrong yet this year but that's because I haven't had to write it down at all. I always had problems with the date on checkbook with that, but now I do all my banking online and use debit cards so I don't even use the checkbook anymore. That helps! :)

Soon see tomorrow (Jan 5th) when I start work again after a nice xmas/new year break if I write 2008 on many paperworks.
