I will be starting what I call my "nightmare schedule" today. I will have 3 courses this fall, spread out over Tues, Wed and Thurs. I work 3rd shift. When I get home in the morning, instead of usually sleeping, I will be required to stay awake for most if not all of the day.
Anyone have any advice on how to stay awake, besides the usual coffee/caffeinated drinks, eating energy foods, etc?
All I know is that it's going to be very difficult to balance this schedule. I'm looking at the possibility of taking small naps throughout the day, possibly right after class each day.
This isn't the first time I've done classes and full-time work. The last time I did it, I worked 1st shift and it seemed easier that way.

), but if it becomes difficult here is the tip: Do things in a way not related to sleeping in your life. For example if you sometimes fall a sleep on couch, do not read there. If you sleep in PJ's , change your clothes to shirt and pants at night. If you take a shower when you wake up, take one when it gets very sleeply after midnight. If you watch Tv before going to bed in a normal day, replace it something else you do when you wake up.
