dog guarded owner's body for weeks after suicide

Aww :( She is so such a good dog for guarding his master. Smart dog and blessed her heart for not allowing the coyotes to come near the body.

I am glad she is returning to her home with the family.
 
The owner, upon contemplating the end of his life, should have thought about others. If he'd thought about others, he'd might not be inclined to end his own life. Thus is the case of suicide.

Dogs are terrifically loyal.
 
Loyal til death. If only humans were that loyal to each other. Perhaps we could learn something from dogs??

Aww. I agree. It could not have been easy on the dog all those weeks being far from home. Bless that dog.
 
That reminds me of this dog that waited for his owner at the subway for years after the owner died.
 
You know, I find it troubling that the owner was called "bad" by Celticty and Wokamuka. How could he, in both of your words, "think of others?" Have either one of you suffered through depression so bad that the only thing you can see is a valid judgment as to why one should commit suicide? I see nothing wrong with what he did by bringing the dog along, as he obviously didn't want to die alone. His wife, among others, should have seen the signs leading up to the suicide; her remarks, I think, are disturbing at best. Unfortunately, he alone knows the answer for killing himself and it is sad that he chose to end life. I think we all can learn a valuable lesson, which is, not to judge others until we've had the opportunity to experience the world through their eyes.

Our lives are for the purpose of giving. Without that goal, you've no reason to live. I do not consider the owner bad in the sense that he'd fallen into depression. It's understandable. I think it bad that he'd not, at least, considered to give ample food to his loyal dog when he'd decided to leave this world.

A living creature relied on him for survival and he'd forsaken that duty. Just a bag of food, at least. C'mon.
 
I adopt a german shepard dog she is 4 yrs old and she follows me eveywhere I go cause she knows I am taking care of her . As you can see her pic on comment next to this
