Infamous 'Night Stalker' Richard Ramirez has died.

Surprised he lived as long as he did...very notorious serial killer....believe he actually "flirted" with the ladies while being on trial...and received so much mail from women that wanted to marry him....very chilling!
 
My good friend told me that his cousin was put in jailroom for something that he did not do, and he saw Ramirez who finally got caught at the time, along with other guys there. He told my friend that the guys were so wary of him so they stayed away from his presence alone. :shock:

Died of natural cases on "Death Row..." that's American justice for you. It makes the Chinese system seem so much more civilized. Too bad the families of his victims couldn't have spent a hour alone with him once a month to kick the Hell out of him. That would have seemed fair since the sentence is basically empty.

The obvious aside, one thing you can never say about China: when they sentence someone to die, they really deliver. American justice is a joke by comparison - we could learn a lot from them....

so is Chinese justice system too.

You have no freedom in China and you can be executed for not break the law - innocent people.

I prefer American justice and I don't believe in death penalty.

If you are not happy with US so move to China.

Tell that too to the victims of the Night Stalker who not only outlived those he killed in a sick way, but possibly some of their relatives too. You should see the laws from their side before you throw stones and defend the killers who die of old age.

I do like how they carry out sentences too but I can't roll with their theology of stripping basic human rights from the average citizen.

What if your mother, sister or close friend was murdered? You still don't favor death penalty?

Nothing. I just don't want to pay for it. Additionally, prison isn't always bad here in the US. Granted, San Quentin is a hard core prison but they also have their own community within the walls. "Access" to some finer pleasures of life are there. I'd feel a LITTLE better if folks serving life was at a prison similar to ADX Florence. Honestly... I'm of the position that if they're detrimental to society... just simply execute them all and be done with it.

I prefer murderers to receive a life sentence without parole in solitary confinement.

I oppose death penalty, no matter if it was relative or close friends.

Not always bad? Receive life sentence without parole in solitary confinement is one of worst punishment ever - inmates hate those and they will very likely to commit suicide.

The death penalty is easier because of lethal injunction and they will sleep peacefully without spend many years in isolated cell.
